Different Outcomes for the Current and Former Party Secretaries of a Certain Town

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Sun, Party Secretary of a town in Henan Province, had been closely following Jiang's group to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners in his town, putting pressure on Dafa practitioners' supervisors in their workplaces. He withheld Dafa practitioners' pay to create financial difficulty for them. He also claimed that their government jobs would be terminated if they continued to practice Falun Dafa. He assigned people to constantly watch over practitioners, and also planned to hold illegal activities such as brainwashing classes and parading practitioners in the streets. However, before he accomplished these goals, he suddenly came down with terrible headaches. He died on the way to the City Hospital.

Later, another Party Secretary took office. He visited a Dafa practitioner, who was a retired government worker. After the two of them talked for over two hours, the new Party Secretary understood the facts about Falun Gong. The second day he also visited the supervisor in another Dafa practitioner's workplace and talked about the Dafa practitioner's performance. The Party Secretary thought that Dafa practitioners are good, they use their healthy bodies to serve society, take personal gain very lightly and that their Teacher is good. He also said, "Jiang Zemin is targeting good people with his persecution." Before leaving, the new Party Secretary told the Dafa practitioner's supervisor, "Let her practice Falun Dafa. Let her learn Falun Dafa. The more she learns the better." In less than a year, he was promoted to a city-level cadre.

I started learning Falun Dafa in 1998. The changes I experienced in my body and mind have been tremendous. In my workplace I diligently did my job with attention to each detail. At the end of 1998, I was evaluated as a top performer in the city. However, since July 20, 1999, supervisors in my workplace closely followed Jiang's group to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. They gave me a hard time at work. Every office meeting turned into a forum to denounce Falun Dafa, which was a heavy blow to my mental state. Later, my supervisor fired me for practicing Falun Gong. I went to high-level supervisors and asked them why they had treated a good person like me this way. One supervisor said that it was "orders from higher-ups."

After hearing my story, a neighboring work unit took me in and had me work on critical jobs in their workplace. With my outstanding performance and through my efforts to clarify the truth to supervisors and colleagues in my workplace, my supervisor was very supportive. At the end of the year, this supervisor evaluated me as a top performer of the city. When he submitted his evaluation to his superior for approval, someone said, "This is a Falun Dafa practitioner. What should we do?" My supervisor said, "Falun Dafa practitioners play positive roles in different areas. It would be even better if we could have more Falun Dafa practitioners in our workplace!"
