Dafa Practitioners Ms. Zhang Keyan and Mr. Shen Guoyan in Jiayu County, Hubei Province Die as a Result of the Persecution


(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Keyan, 23 years old, lived in Paizhouwan Town, Jiayu County, Hubei Province. In May 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal, was arrested and detained at the No. 1 Detention Center in Jiayu County. During the detention she was violently tortured, leading her to frequent vomiting of blood. The perpetrators sent her to Jiayu County People's Hospital when she was near death. The detention center officials were afraid of taking responsibilities for their evil deeds, so they sent her home. The perpetrators from Paizhouwan Town "610 Office" went to her home numerous times to harass her and even stole a truckload of wooden couches from her home. Zhang Keyan passed away in March 2002.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Shen Guoyan, 60 years old, lived in Paizhouwan Town, Jiayu County, Hubei Province. He persisted in Dafa practice and was reported to the authorities in September 2001. The local police ransacked his home and seized his Falun Dafa books. He went to the police station and asked for the return of his Falun Dafa books, but the police refused to return them. In late September 2001, he was arrested while publicly distributing truth clarification materials and was sent to the No. 1 Detention Center in Jiayu County where the guards viciously beat him and violently struck his chest. They tortured him with various methods until his whole body became swollen and he was on the brink of death. Mr. Shen was released in October 2002 and passed away in February 2003. His ten-year-old grandson whose only family was Shen Guoyan is now left home all alone.

Perpetrators responsible for the persecution:

Jin Weihao: former secretary of the Politics and Law Committee for Paizhouwan Town, Jiayu County, Hubei Province. During his term, he followed Jiang's group in persecuting Falun Gong and personally led police to arrest ten Falun Gong practitioners and sent them to a detention center for as long as 19 months. Two practitioners were cruelly tortured during their detention and passed away soon after they were released. He also led perpetrators to ransack Dafa practitioners' homes and confiscate Dafa books. These enforcers forcibly took a truckload of wooden couches from the home of Dafa practitioner Zhang Keyan. They illegally imposed an arbitrary amount of 3,610 Yuan in fines on Dafa practitioners. This criminal individual, Jin Weihao, is currently the head of Jiayu County's Public Enterprises Bureau.

Sun Jihong: former Paizhouwan Town police station head. During his term, he followed Jiang's group in persecuting Falun Gong and personally led police to arrest and detain six Falun Gong practitioners. Two practitioners were cruelly tortured during their detention and passed away soon after they were released. He also led perpetrators to ransack Dafa practitioners' homes. He illegally imposed an arbitrary amount of 3,610 Yuan in fines on the practitioners. He is currently promoted to the position as the head of Jiayu County Traffic Police Team.

The two above-named perpetrators personally ordered the arrest of four practitioners and the detention of three Dafa practitioners. They also led many police officers to ransack the practitioners' homes and imposed an illegal 2,840 Yuan fine on the practitioners.

Xu Keping often beat Dafa practitioners. He suffered a sudden attack of psychiatric disorder in August 2003 and has received retribution. Right now he is the deputy head of the internal security section for Jiayu County Police Department.
