Dr. Piao Jizi from the Disease Prevention Unit of Yanji City, Jilin Province, Dies As a Result of Persecution

Ms. Piao Jizi was a 49-year-old doctor working at the Disease Prevention Unit of Yanji, Jilin Province. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she suffered from many severe diseases. After she began cultivation practice, her illnesses all went away. She often said, "It is Dafa that saved my life." After the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, she held firm to her belief in Dafa and went out to validate the fact that Falun Dafa was good. In 2001, she was abducted and sent to Yanji City Police Department to be persecuted. In September 2001, she was sentenced to forced re-education through labor. Because she showed symptoms of severe diseases, the police had to release her on medical parole.

After returning home, she clarified the facts of Falun Gong with an even greater effort. The police had attempted many times to arrest her again. In March 2003, she had to leave home to avoid further persecution. Because she did not have any income, she lived a very hard life. She was not able to see Teacher's new articles. Although she kept studying the Fa, practicing the exercises and clarifying the truth, the tremendous pressure she suffered while living away from home had devastated her body. She passed away in a hospital on January 8, 2004.
