Believing in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Ms. Huang Xiuying, 61, of Man nationality, delegate from Ningxia Autonomous
Region to the National People's Congress, is a Chinese Communist Party member.
She has been a model worker of Yinchuan City, of the autonomous region, and
nationwide. She is also a recipient of the May 1st Labor Medal and an exemplary
official who publicly recognized multiple times. In May 2003, Ms. Huang was secretly arrested simply for practicing Falun Gong
and telling others the facts of the persecution. She is being held in the
Yinchuan City Women's Prison. She has become emaciated and weak due to extended
inhumane treatment. 2. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Details on the Death Case of Ms. Song
Yulian Ms. Song Yulian, from Xiangfan City, Hubei Province, was a retired worker of
the Xiangfan City Grand Textile Factory (also known as the Xiangfan Textile
Group). In October 2002, Han Kejun, head of the Renmin Road Police Station in
Xiangfan City, led a group of officers in her abduction to the Wuhan City
Women's Prison in Hubei Province. She was unlawfully sentenced to three years in
prison. Before the Spring Festival in January 2004, it was reported she died

Detention Center Li Changhua is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang
Province. On February 26, Li was arrested by police while distributing materials
that explained the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa and has been
imprisoned in the Jiamusi Detention Center ever since. 4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Young Lecturer of the Guangdong
Foreign Languages and International Trade University Abducted to Brainwashing
Class Again Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Xiaoming teaches computer technology at the
Guangdong Foreign Languages and International Trade University. Zhang has been
working diligently but has been deprived of the right to teach and arrested
twice for practicing Falun Gong and exposing the lies that attack the practice. At noon on March 24, the neighborhood administrative office in Huangpu
District, where Zhang lives, sent several officials to forcibly take Zhang to a
brainwashing class in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. 5. [Chalin County, Hunan Province] Li Fuliang Unlawfully Detained During the sessions of the People's National Congress and the Chinese
People's Political Consultative Conference in March, local police ransacked
several Falun Dafa practitioners' homes and confiscated Falun Gong materials. Li
Fuliang is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Chalin County, Hunan Province. Li has
been detained by the Chalin County Police Department for clarifying the truth

Dafa Practitioners Arrested Wang Xingxiang, Wang Guohua and Zhu Hong are Falun Dafa practitioners in
Dehui County, Jilin Province. On March 25, 2004, they were arrested while
clarifying the truth. Falun Dafa practitioner Deng Baojin was arrested from home
by the Dehui City Police Department on March 20. Falun Dafa practitioners Zhang
Xuedong, Sun Weihua, Wang Yuxiu, Liu Fuxiang and others also remain in custody
at the detention centers in Dehui City. 7. [Yongji County, Jilin Province] Yongji County No. 2 High School Principal
Ma Jidong Persecutes Student Who Clarifies the Truth Li Xinxin, a junior of the Yongji County No. 2 High School, lives in Chaluhe
Town in Yongji County. She has earned outstanding grades and heads the Chinese
Communist Youth League in her class. On March 4, 2004, she told others about the
truth of the persecution that Jiang's regime carries out against Falun Gong.
When Ma Jingdong, the school principal, heard about this, Ma ordered Li to be
suspended from school. Li's father Li Bailong was also briefly placed in
custody. Although Li Xinxin has returned to school, Ma has not spared her from
harassment. Wang Lixia, the teacher in charge of Li's class, has received
instructions from Ma to hold meetings to pressure Li to renounce Falun Gong.

calendar), Falun Dafa practitioner Ding Guihe from Wuyue Village in Datun
Township, Ren County, Hebei Province was arrested by township and county police.
Ding was taken to a brainwashing class in Xingtai City, Hebei Province the same
day. 9. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Zhang Lixin of the No. 3 Railroad Bureau
Arrested On March 2, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Lixin of the No. 3 Railroad
Bureau in Sanhe City, Hebei Province went to Northeastern Institute of Science
and Technology in Yanjiao Town to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying
materials. Zhang was spotted by the patrolling guards of the institute's
security division on campus and forcibly taken to the police department. Zhang
is currently held in the Sanhe Detention Center. No one has been permitted to
visit. 10. [Baotou City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Duan Yuzhen Sent to Forced Labor Camp
for Second Time In the afternoon on September 2, 2003, Chen, head of the Huancheng Road
Police Station in Donghe District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia, led half a dozen
officers to break into Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Duan Yuzhen's home in Donghe
District. Chen rudely questioned Ms. Duan on whether she still practiced Falun
Gong. Duan told them that she did practice at her home. Without further
hesitation, the officers forcibly took her to the police station and sentenced
her to two years of forced labor. This is the second time Ms. Duan was sentenced
to forced labor. She has been taken to the Hohhot Women's Forced Labor Camp in
Inner Mongolia. Witnesses report that Duan has suffered from police brutality

Years after Appealing for Falun Gong Mr. Zhang Long, around 42 years old, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Sanhe
Township, Jingyuan County, Gansu Province. In July 2000 he went to Beijing to
appeal for Falun Gong and has not been seen or heard from since. 12. [Qi County, Henan Province] Mr. Mei Chunfu from Shawo Village in Shawo
Township Unlawfully Detained Mr. Mei Chunfu, 56, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Shawo Village, Shawo
Township, Qi County, Henan Province. On March 16, 2004, he distributed Falun
Gong truth-clarifying material on a bus heading for Kaifeng County, Henan
Province. Informants called the county police. He has since been unlawfully
imprisoned in the Kaifeng County Detention Center. 13. [Hebei Province] Ms. Qi Yuna Remains Mentally Traumatized Due to Police
Brutality Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Qi Yuna went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong
during the Lantern Festival in early 2000 and was unlawfully held in custody at
the Guye Detention Center for half a year. Shortly after her release, officers
from the Linxi Police Station arrested her and sent her to the Kaiping Forced
Labor Camp in October 2000. Qi was brutally beaten for practicing Falun Gong exercises in the labor camp.
She was stripped down to her underwear in February in the small, cold cell where
she was held. She was suspended off the ground for an entire night and only
relieved after foam dripped from her mouth. Officer Wang Xueli then took her
away for torture. Wang told her to get on her knees and she refused. Wang kicked
her to the ground and struck her with two electric batons of two thousand volts
each on the back of her head. (Officers used to strike a practitioner's face
with charged electric batons until this brutality was exposed by a practitioner
in Qinhuangdao City whose face was deformed from this torture.) Ms. Qi passed
out immediately. Officer Wang Xueli said to another officer Yan Hongli,
"Make up a testimony for me saying that she died of a heart attack."
Ms. Qi heard this as she began to regain consciousness. After she came to, her
heart started racing and she was diagnosed with heart problems. Worried about
being held accountable, the officers sent her to a hospital and tried to coerce
her into writing "guarantees" [renouncing Falun Gong]. Under
tremendous pressure, she became mentally traumatized and continued to shake
uncontrollably. Later she was sent to a mental facility and a brainwashing class
for more abuse. She was sent home in 2001 and still has not fully recovered. 14. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shi Yuqin Faces Life Threatening Danger in
the Wangjia Forced Labor Camp On January 16, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Shi Yuqin, 58, was abducted
to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. She was held in a steel chair for 26 days and
beaten with electric batons. She refused to write any statements [renouncing
Falun Gong]. In the end the officers released her from the chair but
continued harassing her. 15. [Kenli County, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Cui Bingjin
Unlawfully Sent to Forced Labor Camp In the second month of the Chinese lunar calendar this year, Falun Dafa
practitioner Cui Bingjin destroyed all the slanderous pictures defaming Falun
Dafa in the area. After they were posted again in public, Cui went to remove
them at night and was caught by officers staked out nearby. Within twenty days,
Cui was unlawfully sentenced to three years of forced labor. 16. [Zhejiang Province] Graduate Student Zhang Jianbo of Zhejiang Industrial
University Arrested Again Mr. Zhang Jianbo, 30, was a graduate student enrolled in Zhejiang University.
He started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. After Jiang's regime started
suppressing Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, he exercised his constitutional rights
by going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was unlawfully detained by the
police. After being held in custody for one year, he was sentenced to four years
of forced labor in September 2000. In 2003, when he was released from prison,
his residential document was revoked, and he also had no identification card. A
few days ago, he was on a business trip to Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province when
police took him into custody again. His home has also been ransacked. 17. [Beijing] Han Junqing Arrested and His Whereabouts Unknown On February 28, 2004, in the morning, practitioner Han Junqing from Doudian
Village, Fangshan area was arrested from his home by four policemen. His home
was also ransacked. Even the ceiling was damaged. Falun Gong books,
truth-clarifying materials, and a laptop computer were taken away. At present,

Hospitals and Labor Camps Mr. Gao Yunhuan, 40 years old, is from Wenzhou City. Since the persecution
began on July 20 1999, because he insists on practicing Falun Gong, he was
arrested and sent to a mental hospital where five to six people would hold him
down and forcibly inject him with unknown drugs. After the injections, he became
listless and unable to sleep at night. In April 2000, Gao was sent to Shiliping
Labor Camp, Brigade 3, Squadron 2, and detained for one year. Before the 2002
Spring Festival, he was taken to Brigade 4 and tortured for one month because he
said that he insisted on practicing Falun Gong. He was forbidden to sleep, and
his limbs were bound. His detention was extended for three months. 19. [Sichuan Province] Chongqing Practitioners Severely Injured Two practitioners, Zhou Liangrong and Zhou Liangjuan, from Chongqing were
detained in Changshengqiao Police Station, Chongqing, because they clarified the
truth of Falun Gong. They were beaten by police and had severe injures. They

December 30, 2003. Now she is being detained in Changsha Female Jail and
suffering severe persecution. 21. [Heilongjiang Province] Wang Enjun Couple Arrested On March 26, 2004, practitioner Li Ling (the husband of Gao Shuqing) from
Scientific Garden was arrested. Together with him, the Wang Enjun couple was
also arrested. Their homes have been searched. 22. [Guiping City, Guangxi Province] Lu Qiaoyan and Her Father Arrested Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Qiaoyan is a teacher in Mengyiyu High School.
In February 2004 she was forbidden to work since she did not write a
"guarantee letter" (1). She and her father were
arrested in February and in March respectively. The production site for
truth-clarifying materials was searched. Lu Xiaoyan's son was only eight months
old and was left home alone. 23. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested On March 25, 2004, practitioners Wang Xingxiang, Wang Guohua and Zhu Hong
were arrested close to Guojia Town, Dehui City when they were distributing
materials. They were reported by a child and were arrested by policemen. 24. [Huilai County, Guangdong Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested On May 28, 2003 Huilai "610 Office" (2)
illegally sentenced seven practitioners: Liu Zhaodi for one year, Wang Wenshuang,
one year, Xie Liumei, one year, Zhu Meiling, one and a half years, Fang Qi, one
and a half years, Zhang Yuxi, four years, Lin Huijuan, one year (she had high
blood pressure symptoms and brain arteriosclerosis symptoms, so she was released
on bail for medical treatment). Now the above practitioners are detained in
Sanshui Labor Camp in Guangdong Province. Recently Zhang Yuxi was transferred.

Class Practitioner Zhen Shaoqing from Huiyang County, Jieyang City was arrested
when he was working in the school on March 2, 2004. Now he is detained in Foshan
brainwashing class in "law school". He was extorted out of 5000 Yuan (2)
for a so-called "brainwashing fee". His 70-year-old father-in-law who
was recovering from a stroke was attacked and his condition worsened. 26. [Hubei Province] University Student Detained A third-year student in Wuhan Scientific University, Clothes Design
Department, Mei Hailin, was detained at Wuhan Police Department, Section Seven,
for one month because she believes in "Truthfulness, Compassion,
Tolerance". Now she is forbidden to go to school. The "610
Office" of her school monitors her and requires her to write a
"guarantee letter". Otherwise, she is not allowed to go to class. 27. [Qi County, Henan province] Mei Chunfu Detained in Kaifeng Detention
Center Mr. Mei Chunfu, 56 years old, is from Shawo Village, Qi County. On March 16,
on the way to Kaifeng, he clarified the truth of Falun Gong to people on the bus
and distributed Dafa materials. He was reported by someone and arrested by
Kaifeng policemen. He was detained in Kaifeng County Detention Center. 28. [Jingzhou City, Liaoning Province] Hu Qiuxia and Wang Xiaomin Arrested On March 31, 2004 at 5 p.m., practitioner Ms. Hu Qiuxia was arrested at home
by Taihe Police Branch director Ma Baoyuan and others. Another practitioner,
Wang Xiaomin, was arrested together with her. Five policemen beat her heavily
and whipped her using a leather whip. Hu Qiuxia was sent to Jingzhou No. 2

[Jingzhou City, Liaoning Province] Chen Guiying Tortured and Hospitalized Practitioner Ms. Chen Guiying works in the Huaguang Electrical Company. She
was arrested when she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in the Shiqiaozi
area. Later she was sent to Jingzhou No. 2 Detention Center. On March 28, Chen's
life was in danger due to severe persecution. She was sent to Jingzhou Medical
College's affiliated hospital. Shiqiaozi Police Branch: 86-416-3818635 30. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested Ms. Lei Jianli is a 30-year-old kindergarten teacher. Her father Lei
Mingsheng, also a practitioner, was arrested. Only a few days later Lei Jianli
was also arrested. Before that a teacher from Chengnan primary school named Ms.

Yongxian Detained On February 29, 2004, practitioner Ruan Yingjie and her husband Wu Yongxian
went to Rongchang County to distribute truth-clarifying materials. They were
arrested and detained in Rongchang Detention Center. 33. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Zhou Huajian Detained for One Year Mr. Zhou Huajian, 54 years old, is a Falun Gong practitioner in Datiantou
Village, Nanxiang Town, Yangjiao Township, Maoming City. He has been persecuted
by the "610 Office". His stall at the Maoming evening market was
damaged by Yangjiao policemen led by the police chief on October 31, 2002. He
was sent to "610 Law School" to be persecuted. After one year his
family urged them to release him. The "610 Law School" extorted 5700
