By a Taiwan Dafa Practitioner

(Clearwidom.net) On April 10, 2004, National Chiao Tung University held its 108^th anniversary of the university's founding and the 46^th anniversary of moving to Taiwan. The Falun Gong Club at the university applied for a booth, introduced the practice of Falun Gong to the students and explained the facts of the persecution in China. The Falun Gong Club was set up nearly two years ago and members have benefited from practicing Falun Gong. The members took the opportunity of the school anniversary to help more people learn about Falun Gong.

There are Falun Gong Clubs in more than 30 universities in Taiwan. Falun Gong practitioners in other universities came to help after hearing of the event

Falun Gong practitioners set up posters on the lawn behind the booth so that passersby could view them. The pictures caught the attention of many passersby. Some students stopped to look at the pictures and read the contents.

In addition, the practitioners also distributed flyers in other locations on campus so as not to miss a single predestined person. Many people attended the fund-raising dinner for university alumni, including many senior managers in high-tech companies. As trade between Taiwan and the mainland grows considerably, practitioners hope the alumni could know about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Many of the alumni accepted literature.

Some practitioners practiced the exercises on the lawn beside the booth during break time. Students from other booths asked in surprise, "In such a noisy environment, how can you practice meditation?" The practitioners answered, "Practicing Falun Gong makes it easy for us to concentrate and reach tranquility. Thus, the noisy environment cannot disturb us."

A high-school student was very interested in cultivation and asked many questions. The practitioners presented two books to him and he was delighted. Some inquired about practice sites and would like to learn the exercises. Some foreigners also showed up and practitioners explained the facts of Falun Gong to them with simple English. One foreigner said that there were Falun Gong practitioners in his country. Another came to ask for information and watch the introduction on TV. After hearing of Jiang and his associates' brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, they were shocked and expressed sympathy.

Though most booths closed earlier than the scheduled time, the Falun Gong Club's booth stayed open until the end as the practitioners thought that staying a little longer could let more people know the truth. They did not collect the posters until the end of the event. The more people know the facts, the more righteous people will support Falun Gong. The persecution of Falun Gong will draw the condemnation and attention of the whole world.
