8. The Doctor that Learned the Truth

A young doctor lives in my village. Whenever my father saw him he would clarify the truth to the doctor. He told him that Falun Gong teaches people to be good, gives people healthy bodies, and brings much benefit to practitioners. He also told him that Dafa is being framed, and that Jiang's regime is telling lies. But the doctor said, "Aside from the persecution, for you to say that practitioners won't get sick, and don't need to take medicine or injections, that I don't believe."

A few years passed, and we hadn't needed any medication. We never went to his clinic. Now, after we clarified the truth to him, he said, "You said that the practice makes you healthy and you won't get sick. Now I believe you. No wonder you still practice regardless of the harsh persecution." He also said, "Back then, under that environment, I didn't even dare to say that you guys are good people. But now it's different!" I gave him many materials and VCDs' clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. He happily accepted them.

One time my friends and classmates came to my house. I told them that Falun Dafa has been defamed and that the media lied. I told them to remember that "Falun Dafa is good." I gave them truth-clarifying materials and VCDs.

A friend took a booklet, and my classmate said, "Let your father read it too." My friend asked my classmate, "Do you practice, too?" My classmate said no. And my friend was surprised, "But why did you give me materials on Falun Gong last time?" My classmate pointed at me and said, "She gave them to me. I let you read them because I wanted you to learn the truth." Another friend said, "When a good person is being defamed, we have to let other people know about it." They asked another classmate of mine if she knows if Falun Dafa is good. She replied before I could, "Of course. And I know that Falun Dafa is the most righteous principle in the world." They laughed. Another friend said, "You aren't really good at discussing other things, but you are very good at talking about Dafa. Tell us about Falun Dafa." I smiled. I know my reason for existing, and that's to introduce the facts of Falun Dafa to everyone.

I went to a classmate's wedding, and I took a lot of Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials with me. I also brought a specially-made VCD with a leather case for my classmate as a wedding gift. She loved them very much, and thanked me again and again. Another friend said jealously, "When I get married I want one, too." I also gave them a few postcards and booklets. When my friend took them she placed all the cards on the most prominent mirror and started reading the booklet. After she finished reading it, she said, "So this is what happened." And she shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! You guys should read about the facts, too."

That night she discussed Falun Gong with her parents. Her mother said, "Falun Gong is actually very beneficial." Her father whispered, "Yes, practicing Falun Gong is very beneficial, that's why so many people still practice it even thought it's persecuted."

One person in the village who doesn't believe in deities or karmic retribution doesn't believe that Falun Dafa is good. He cursed Dafa and practitioners.

My father clarified the truth to him on numerous occasions, but he's very stubborn. Many villagers who knew that Falun Dafa is good had talked to him, but the talks all ended in arguments. Many neighbors said, "If you can persuade him, then everyone in the village would know that Falun Dafa is good." My father talked to him often about Falun Dafa, our compassion, our persistence about the true principles, and the reason for the persecution. Once, twice, three times, he talked to him with a sincere heart. Finally the villager said, "I don't know about other practitioners, but you seem to be alright." My father touched him with his sincerity.

Many people participated in an election in the village. But my family decided against it.

One day, the two sides started arguing. During the confusion my father started talking about how to be a good person, then proceeded to talk about the persecution of Falun Gong. Everyone stopped arguing and started listening. The conflict ended up being a truth clarification opportunity. Father's righteous thoughts accommodated every heart. There were a few government officials among the people, and they were shocked to see my father clarifying the truth at the conference site. They started following my father, trying to arrest him. But they were afraid that the villagers might protest it. Later they learned that my father had to buy chemical fertilizer, so they staked out the road in order to arrest him. But father wisely took another path and came home safely.

Whenever new truth-clarifying VCDs and booklets come out we always send a copy to everyone in the village. One time when my parents were going to a neighbor's place they met a few predestined individuals. They followed my parents to the neighbor's place to watch the VCD. One of them said, "One time someone left a flyer in front of my doorstep. I read it. You know those who follow Jiang's persecution, they broke practitioner's bones at the joints through their torture. It's terrible."

My village has a lot of people but not a lot of space. So when many people finish their work in the fields they go to a nearby village to dig the fields. It's not much money, and they have to work a dozen hours. It's very tiring. Because of this, many of them might slack off instead of working diligently. Sometimes they fight over 10 or 20 minutes of rest.

One neighbor couldn't find enough people to dig for them, so my mother and I went to help out. The family members are weak and elderly. They were very happy to see us helping out. We clarified the truth to them as we worked. They learned the truth, and said, "You are very good, Falun Dafa is good." When it was about to get dark they said, "Why don't you go, it's late already." Mother said that we only had about 20 to 30 meters left, and we should finish digging the field before we go. The granny said, "No wonder everyone wants to hire you to dig. You are great. If it was someone else, they would have left already. You are very kind. Falun Dafa is so good." My mother and I said that we do this because we are practitioners, and we always put others first, and that we want them to remember Falun Dafa is good, "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" is good. They said happily, "We will remember it."

All the small things that we do every day are clarifying the truth of Falun Gong. We are becoming better persons through following the standards of Dafa.
