Canada: Toronto Falun Gong Practitioners Hold a Symbolic Public Trial of Jiang Zemin in Front of City Hall During Ontario's "Law Week" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net, April 21, 2004) During Ontario's "Law Week", Toronto Falun Gong practitioners held a symbolic public trial of Jiang Zemin at the "Speaker Corner" in front of City Hall on April 17. The symbolic trial based on mass evidence, experiences and testimony of witnesses including Wang Yuzhi and Zhao Ming. The prosecutor revealed that Jiang has personally launched and implemented the persecution of Falun Gong, Jiang also ordered the "610 Office" (1) to implement his persecution policy to "Defame their reputation, Bankrupt them financially and destroy them physically" policy toward Falun Gong practitioners. At the end of the trial, Judges verdicted that Jiang was guilty for all the charges. the judges stated: Jiang has not only persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China and overseas, Jiang has also persecuted millions of family members of Falun Gong practitioners and innocent people around the world by committing genocide and spreading lies of Falun Gong around the world. The Judges also pointed out that the effort to "Bring Jiang to Justice" is not only important today, it will have a far-reaching impact on the future of the world.

The Toronto City Hall is a very busy place. During the trial, many passersby stopped to watch the symbolic trial. They were very curious, many accepted Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials presented by practitioners and read about Jiang's crimes and the background of this tribunal. After learning the truth, people in succession signed postcards in support to "Bring Jiang to Justice."
