Short Stories of Karmic Retribution

Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Policeman Zhai Guosheng lives in Baishan Village, Jianping County, Liaoning Province. He works in the Jianping County Taipingzhuang Police Station. After July 20, 1999, he participated many times in beating practitioners and slandering Dafa.

In January 2000, after drinking with prostitutes, while riding his motorcycle Zhai Guosheng had an accident with another motorcycle, which resulted in a head injury. He was hospitalized for his injuries. He is currently blind in one eye and still cannot speak coherently. The other rider involved in the accident was uninjured.

Kong Xingchen, former Political Legal Secretary of Taipingzhuang Village, Jianping County, Zhaoyang City, Liaoning Province, participated in persecuting Dafa practitioners many times. One time, after he slapped a practitioner's face, his hand experienced a sharp pain, and he could not do simple things like using chopsticks with that hand for more than a month.

Wang Shuhui, male, 68 years old, lived in Haojia Village, Taipingzhuang Village, Jianping County, Zhaoyang City, Liaoning Province. He monitored practitioners' activities and reported them to village and county authorities. He suddenly became ill in June 2002 and was diagnosed with cancer. He died shortly thereafter.

Tang Zhenlin lived in Liangxinbao Town, Junshan Area, Yueyang City, Hunan Province. He was the director of the Sifenchang Fabric Factory. In 2000, he and Liao Luosheng, who worked in the safety department in the factory, went to Beijing to take back those practitioners appealing in Beijing. On the way back, the factory manager called and instructed Liao to buy sleeper car seats for the elderly female practitioners to sleep on in consideration of their age. Liao and Tang did not follow instructions; instead, they swindled money from the seven practitioners, totaling 1,425 yuan. The practitioners were Wang Zhenyuan, Dai Chunmei, Li Xueqing, Luo Yaping, Fan Youshu, Qiu Yuanshan and Chu Jinhui. After returning to the factory, Liao and Tang sent these practitioners to the detention center and brainwashing center. Tang tried to forced practitioners to write "guarantee statements."(2)

In June 2001, Tang fell out of a vehicle during a trip to the Junshan District and died at the scene. Liao reported Dafa practitioners to a new manager, which caused these practitioners to lose their jobs. He is now out of job himself and was involved in a motorcycle accident in 2002.

Liu Chunxiang, male, in his 40s, is the head of the Public Safety Branch, Fire Resistant Material Factory, Tangshan Metal Associated Company. He is infamous for persecuting Dafa practitioners. He brutally persecuted the practitioners and sent those practitioners who were factory workers to prisons, forced labor camps, and brainwashing centers.

He was diagnosed with late stage liver cancer in March 2004.

(2) Guarantee Statement: A statement to declare that he or she is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners.
