April 25 Peaceful Appeal Can In No Way Justify the Persecution (Photos) -- Falun Gong practitioners around the world commemorate the fifth anniversary of "April 25"peaceful appeal (Clearwisdom.net) Over the past several years, the
Mainland police have spread lies on many occasions that "so many people
went to protest, any country would suppress them." Many people have been
misled by the media, and believed that Falun Gong practitioners' April 25
"besieging Zhongnanhai" lead to later suppression. In fact, firstly,
"April 25" was not besieging the government, but a peaceful appeal,
completely conforming to the law and reason. Secondly, Falun Gong practitioners'
appeal was peaceful and out of their kindness, it was their trust to the
government but not opposing the government. The third point, on the day of
"April 25," with direct concern from Premier of State Council, Falun
Gong practitioners and Appeals Office leaders had a meeting. They reached a
common understanding and reasonably resolved the violent arrest of dozens of
innocent Falun Gong practitioners in Tianjin. Then how could an appropriate resolution of the peaceful
appeal become an excuse for the persecution? On what was the suppression based? It is simple and ridiculous. On the evening of April 25,
1999, Jiang Zemin, who "peeked out" and saw people appealing along the
streets from a bulletproof car in the day time, took no positive action, but out
of his jealousy, mimicked Mao Tse Tung's approach, launching a modern day rival
of the "Great Cultural Revolution." Jiang wrote a letter to the
politburo overnight, overthrew the premier's wise decision to cooperate with the
practitioners with his personal will and illegal approach, and began a more wide
open approach to the persecution of Falun Gong, which had started secretly in
1996. Do all countries use hatred and violence to treat peaceful
appeals? Since July 20, 1999 when the persecution began, Falun Gong
practitioners around the world have been peacefully appealing in front of the
Chinese Consulates, mourning for their fellow practitioners who have died as a
result of the persecution, condemning and calling for an end to the persecution.
The Chinese Consulates dare not use violence on these peaceful groups of people,
why? It is because freedom of speech and freedom of belief are being respected
and protected by law in the international community. Jiang's minions in the
Chinese Consulates have to be careful when dealing with the laws in the
countries where they stay. Following are photos from around the world of activities
commemorating the fifth anniversary of the peaceful "April 25" Appeal.
