Japan: Kanto Practitioners Hold an "Oppose the Persecution" Parade to Commemorate the Fifth Anniversary of the April 25 Appeal (Photos)
By Falun Gong practitioners in Japan
(Clearwisdom.net) The peaceful appeal by 10,000 Falun Gong
practitioners on April 25, 1999 to express their concerns to the central
government is an unprecedented event in China's history. Now, five years later,
Falun Gong practitioners around the world have held a wide variety of activities
to commemorate this great day. More than 200 Falun Gong practitioners in the Kanto Area of Japan held an
"Oppose the Persecution" parade on April 25 at the busiest Shinjuku in
Tokyo. The procession was divided in four groups. The first group was composed
of dozens of practitioners in white shirts and black skirts holding photos of
fellow practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution in China. The
second group was composed of practitioners holding large photos, displaying
examples of the brutal tortures and atrocities imposed upon Falun Gong
practitioners over the past five years. The third group of practitioners held
banners that read "bring Jiang to justice around the world." The purpose of the parade was quite clear, that is to tell the Japanese
people and people in the world the truth about the brutal persecution of Falun
Gong that has taken place in China over the past five years, so as to stop the
persecution and bring the chief culprit Jiang to justice.
