(Clearwisdom.net) The "Petals of Peace" is a global event initiated last October in Australia. Its purpose is to encourage children all over the world to be closely connected and to promote tolerance and mutual understandings, as well as to improve creativity. The event was inspired by the experience of Fadu, a 3-year-old Chinese-Australian girl. When she was only six-months old, her father was tortured to death in China because of his practice of Falun Gong. Since then, she has traveled with her mother to more than 30 countries in the world to call attention to the persecution encountered by Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Since the "Petals of Peace" events were launched throughout the world, little Fadu, who is attending the United Nations Commission on Human Rights meeting in Geneva, Switzerland has continuously received lotus flower post cards sent by children in Australia. On the post cards, children expressed their best wishes to little Fadu who lost her father in the suppression of Falun Gong. Little Fadu would like to thank all of the children.
