(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners in Calgary, Canada, held activities to help the public learn more about what is Falun Gong and the facts about the persecution occurring in China. The activities held in Prince Island Park on April 25, 2004, commemorated the peaceful "4.25" appeal.

Prince Island Park is a key recreation site close to downtown Calgary. Falun Gong practitioners exhibited banners with the words, "Falun Dafa" and "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" at the entrance of the park and set up display boards of "Falun Gong around the World" and "Facts of Persecution" along the road. They practiced group excises and clarifed the truth about Falun Gong to passersby.

Many people stopped to watch the smooth and graceful exercises to the beautiful music. They also learned about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong from the display boards.

An elderly woman signed her name on a postcard and said, "I see you doing exercises in front to the Chinese Consulate everyday, even when it was thirty degrees below zero. I was deeply moved."

A teenager asked us many questions. Upon hearing about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, he kept saying, "Stupid. Stupid..."

As a landmark in history, the "4.25" appeal was a magnificent feat of kind and honest people who told the truth peacefully under the pressure of Jiang's regime . For the past five years, Falun Gong practitioners have been clarifying the truth to governments and people peacefully and rationally. Through their tireless efforts, more than more people have learned the facts. More and more government officials have spoken out to condemn the persecution by Jiang's political group and to support Falun Gong.
