Taiwan: Spreading Falun Dafa at Shuangfeng Elementary School (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) March 27 was the annual Shuangfeng Elementary School Carnival, and Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in this event. Practitioners presented a "The Peaceful Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition and demonstrated Falun Gong exercises for students, teachers and local residents.

Though it was drizzling, the Shuangfeng Elementary School was filled with excitement and joy. While adults were busily preparing for the carnival, children were happily running around. Practitioners set up the photo exhibition along the corridor outside the school offices. While some practitioners are residents here, others had to change buses twice to get here. When they were asked why they came from so far for this event, they all said, "Good things should be shared with good friends!"

Mr. Liu is the coordinator of this event. He said that he had practiced Falun Gong for more than 7 years. Because he had benefited from practicing so much, his wife and children also have become practitioners. Seeing his own children becoming more well-behaved and considerate due to the practice, he felt that he should introduce Falun Gong to students and their parents as well as teachers. He thus contacted the principal of the Shuangfeng Elementary School and arranged the participation of practitioners in this event.

The Shuangfeng Elementary School is located in the Shuangfeng Mountains and is very beautiful. It has attracted many parents to send their children to here. As all parents are very keen to participate in every school affair, many parents came to the photo exhibition. After looking through the photos, some came to the Falun Gong information table to take fliers or to ask questions.

There was a woman who studied every photo and read the captions. When a practitioner then approached her to talk, he found out that she was from Mainland China and was married to a Taiwanese. Her child is also attending this school. She said that she had heard about Falun Gong when she was in Mainland, however, she never had a chance to come across Falun Gong in person. Because of Jiang regime's persecution, people in her hometown are not allowed to practice Falun Gong while she knew that some were still practicing. When the practitioner asked her why she studied the photos with so much attention, she said that she wanted to learn more about Falun Gong and wanted to practice. She asked for many truth-clarifying materials. When she was asked whether or not she knew that even pupils in Mainland were forced to denounce Falun Gong, she said that she had been a teacher in Mainland and she would like her child to practice Falun Gong. Furthermore, she hoped that her child would learn more about Falun Gong from this photo exhibition.

Because it was raining, all programs were held in an indoor gym. The first program of Falun Gong practitioners was performed by the "Small Red Hat Drum Troupe," which had 6 young practitioners and was led by an adult practitioner. When seeing their performance, many parents started to whisper to each other "Do the small ones who play drums also practice Falun Gong?" Practitioners then demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. When the elegant exercise music started to play, the whole gym became very quiet. While practitioners demonstrated the exercises, the audience was immersed in an atmosphere of compassion and peace. When practitioners were demonstrating, time seemed to have been frozen. After the music ended, the audience burst into applause.

Though the half-day Falun Dafa introduction event soon concluded, certainly the purity and beauty of Dafa had touched the hearts of the teachers, pupils and their parents.
