Macao: Falun Gong Practitioners Commemorate the Fifth Anniversary of April 25 Appeal (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) In order to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the April 25, 1999 Appeal by 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners (often referred to as "4.25"), on the afternoon of April 25, 2004, Macao Falun Gong practitioners distributed materials pertaining to commemorating April 25 Peaceful Appeal and flyers informing the public of the global lawsuits against Jiang Zemin in front of the Government Information Bureau. This is the fifth year that the practitioners held activities there. The practitioners also prepared balloons with the words, "Falun Dafa is great" for children. Now most of the Mainland tourists accepted flyers and showed interest in learning more about Falun Gong. Some of them, after learning the facts of the persecution, expressed their surprise and anger. More and more people are awakening. It was Sunday, so there were many tourists. It was really an excellent opportunity to clarify the truth.

A candlelight vigil

In the morning, practitioners practice the exercises in a park opposite the Chinese Liaison Office, and sent forth righteous thoughts at 5:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m. and 7:00a.m.

In the evening, the practitioners held a candlelight vigil, displaying signs of bringing Jiang to justice and stopping the persecution of Falun Gong. After that, the practitioners sent righteous thoughts and shared experiences, and also mourned Dafa practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution.

The practitioners were peaceful and rational during the three activities of the day, but Macao police still sent nearly 10 police officers to monitor, guard, take pictures and videotape practitioners' activities in both the morning and evening. We advice few individuals not to assist Jiang Zemin's group to do bad deeds, waste police force, violate human rights agreements and further damage the image of Macao.
