(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhao Caihua is a 29-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Huludao City, Liaoning Province. In 2001, she was arrested and sent to Masanjia Labor Camp in Liaoning Province. While in detention, she firmly resisted the evil. The labor camp police did not give her any food to eat. In the autumn, she was forced to harvest corn. Because she did not cooperate with the police, she was brutally beaten and she had bruises all over her face and body.
One day in the winter of 2002, the police sent her to a small cell where she was chained to an iron bench and forced to sit still for 9 days straight. The door and window of the cell were left wide open so the cold draft could get in to freeze her. After she was released from the small cell, her whole body was deformed because of the cold weather. Her hands were very swollen. Her feet were so swollen that she could not get her shoes on.
The police also force fed her frequently. As a result, her stomach was badly damaged. She could not eat. In fact, she would throw up whatever she took in. Later she could not even stand. She needed help to use the restroom. In the end, she could not even get up from the bed. She had to rely on others to take care of her bowel movements. Seeing she was near death, the police informed her family to pick her up in October 2003. Her current condition is unknown.
