The Persecution of Ms. Liu Xiaoying and Her Family at the Institute of Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology

(Clearwisdom.net) In April 2002, 60-year old Dafa practitioner Liu Xiaoying of the Institute of Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology, Ministry of Land and Resources was forced to leave her home to avoid persecution. Under pressure from the Jiang group's "guilt by association" policy, some leaders of the institute, against their own conscience, chose to protect their personal interests by executing the policy of "defaming their reputation, bankrupting them financially, and destroying them physically." They first stopped Liu Xiaoying's pension and then they harassed Liu's second daughter. Liu Xiaoying's second daughter did not have any income after a divorce. She had to take care of her little child and rely on her mother's pension to survive. The leaders wanted to use financial means to coerce Liu's daughter to reveal her mother's whereabouts. After they failed to get what they wanted, they illegally restricted her daughter's personal freedom by not allowing the mother and son to leave the house.

In addition, the leaders declared their intention to fire Liu Xiaoying and take back her apartment. Liu's second daughter went to see the Party Secretary Yan Changqing of the institute. She said, "Right now I do not have any income. If you take back the apartment, where can I find a place to stay with such a small child? Can you reconsider your decision from a humanitarian angle?" Yan Changqing firmly refused her request. Later, the daughter had to ask for help from a lawyer. The institute leader knew this action was against the law, so he did not execute the order. However the story did not end here. Since October 2002, the head of the Political and Judiciary Division, Zhou Gengwang, went to Liu's home to harass her almost every day. Finally, the institute head, Huang Zhixing, showed up in person. He threatened Liu's daughter by saying, "If you do not tell us your mother's whereabouts, next time it will be the police department that comes looking for you." As expected, a few days later, the police came and abducted her. They tortured her so brutally that her lower body was paralyzed. They released her when her condition became critical. Finally she too was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution, and she almost lost her less than 2 year old son.

He had been abroad in recent years and some overseas practitioners once clarified the facts about Falun Dafa to him. He did not believe the truth, however, and takes his own course of executing the persecution policy based on his personal interests.

He was Liu Xiaoying's classmate in the university. He also visited other countries in recent years and has learned the facts. However, in fear of being connected with Liu, he takes his own course of executing the persecution policy for his personal interests.
