WOIPFG Publishes New Book, "Investigation Reports on the Persecution of Falun Gong" -- - Spokesman Sends Copy to Ministers of Each Country during United Nations Human Rights Commission Meeting in Geneva (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution
of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) announced on April 6, 2004 that it had published a new
book, "Investigation Reports on the Persecution of Falun Gong," and that its
spokesman, Mr. John Jaw, would introduce the book for the first time in Geneva,
where the United Nations Human Rights Commission meeting is being held. According to WOIPFG, this book, which takes the form of an investigative report, details a large amount of evidence and facts and discloses the deep extent, wide range, and the large number of victims and persecution methods used in the
persecution of Falun Gong since July 20, 1999. The book consists of five chapters: In addition, this book discloses many secret documents regarding the
persecution of Falun Gong, including two key documents which set a decisive
tone for the persecution of Falun Gong: "The letter from Jiang Zemin to the
members of the standing committee of the Political Bureau and other related
leaders" at midnight on April 25, 1999, and "Jiang Zemin's speech to
the Central Political Bureau Conference regarding speeding up the handling and
solving of the 'Falun Gong' issue" on June 7, 1999. In the "Investigation
Report on Jiang Zemin's Persecution of Falun Gong" (part of this book),
WOIPFG pointed out that these two key pieces of evidence indicate that, "Jiang
Zemin has characterized the situation as 'Contradictions between
ourselves and the enemy' and 'Class struggle' in China, placed himself above
China's Constitution and violated the law using all kinds of means to repress
and eliminate Falun Gong. He has committed genocide and crimes against
humanity as specified by the United Nations." Using the persecution in the Chinese educational system as an
example, this book also discloses that the persecution has extended to every
corner of China. In the educational system, there are more than 61 confirmed death
cases due to torture by the police, and at least 435 Falun Gong practitioners
from 210 Chinese universities, colleges and institutes have been sentenced to forced
labor camps. From Tsinghua University alone, more than 300 professors and
students have been illegally detained, forced to resign from work or quit
school. Moreover, more than ten people from Tsinghua were sentenced to long
prison terms. These include Bai Rongchun (13 years), Liu Zhimei (12 years), Yao
Yue (12 years), Wang Xuefei (11 years), Meng Jun (10 years), Wang Xin (9 years),
Dong Yanhong (5 years), Yu Ping (4 years), Yu Jia (3 and a half years), Liu
Wenyu (3 years) and Li Feng (3 years). As stated in the "Conclusion"
section of the book, "This persecution has adopted the Chinese Communist
Party's tens of years of experience in struggling and persecuting people; its
cruelty and bloodiness can be accurately described as unprecedented." The spokesman for WOIPFG, Mr. John Jaw, recently left for Geneva to attend the
60th United Nations Human Rights Commission meeting with the book,
and he will distribute one copy of this book to every government official and human
rights attorney. In the WOIPFG's open letter "To the United Nations
Commission on Human Rights and members of the United Nations," it is stated
that, "We hope this report can help you to gain an overall and systematic
understanding of this persecution and to realize its far-reaching meaning for the
Chinese people and the people around the world in condemning and
helping to stop the persecution. When history turns this darkest page in the
book of human civilization, we hope everyone can say with no qualms, "I stood by
justice!" Posting date: 4/9/2004 |
