South America: Peru National Police Issue Certification of Appreciation to Falun Dafa Practitioners (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net, May 5, 2004) From March 27 to April 24, 2004, the headquarters of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Peru National Police organized 100 police officers to learn Falun Gong at 8 am every Saturday at the exercise field of Soldier's Plaza in Lima.

Besides learning the 5 sets of exercises of Falun Gong, every police officer obtained a Falun Dafa pamphlet and had a chance to look at Falun Dafa truth-clarifying posters. When seeing the brutal persecution of Mainland Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang and his followers, these police officers with a strong sense of justice were shocked. They expressed their sympathy to practitioners and indicated that they couldn't understand how the regime could have gone so far.

On April 24, an award ceremony was held on the exercise field. Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Mei Jiang and Ying Su were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation signed by the director of the Corruption Prevention Department to commend their dedication in offering free teaching of Falun Gong. The police officer who hosted the ceremony said: "This selfless dedication deserves commendation and respect from everyone."

After the ceremony, the police officers took photos with practitioners. Many of them said they would continue to come to Falun Gong practice sites to practice and study.
