Ms. Xu Zhiping was arrested on March 7, 2004 in Fangcheng by police officers Li Kegui, Wang Yong, Liao Xiaoqiu, and Lu Xin from the Fanggang City Port Public Security Bureau Branch. On March 31, 2004, she was sentenced to 3 years in a forced labor camp, and is now detained at the Fanggang City Detention Center. Xu has gone on a hunger strike for over 30 days to protest, and has been force-fed several times.

On the evening of April 13, 2004, Huang Wei and approximately five other Dafa practitioners were abducted at the office of Huang's Business, close to the Jianhua Supermarket.

On the evening of April 1, 2004, ten young men were beating up a young woman. The woman shouted that she is Song Huilan (or Guilan) from the 6^th Textile Factory, a good citizen practicing Falun Gong. At that time, the plain-clothes police drove away bystanders while they carried the woman quickly to a police vehicle.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Weijun has been detained since 2001 because he produced Dafa truth-clarifying materials. He is now serving a 10-year jail sentence.

Local Dafa practitioners delivered open letters which exposed facts of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by local officers. Some officers were scared, and threatened to abduct seven Dafa practitioners and take them to forced labor camps. They arranged for people to monitor the Dafa practitioner's homes.

On the evening of April 9, 2004, Ms. Gu Xinzhen from Fusong County went to Wang Yingjun's home at Songjianghe, but was abducted by monitoring police officers. While searching Wang's home, police officers found Dafa truth flyers, Dafa books, Teacher's image, timing loudspeakers, etc. That evening, Gu and Wang were brought to the local police station. They continuously clarified the truth about Falun Gong to police officers. Police officers found nothing when searching Gu's home. They extorted 3,000 yuan (1) from Gu's family and released her. Gu's cell phone was also confiscated. Police officers also wrote down Gu's husband's cell phone number.

Wang Yingjun is now detained at the Fusong County Detention Center.

On February 29, 2004, Ms. Chen (a retired accountant) was arrested by police officers from Liwan District while she was handing out Dafa truth-clarifying materials on Xihua Street. Police officers from the Liwan District and Yuexiu District, and officers from Chen's work place searched Chen Youlan's home, and took away Chen's notes about her experience in Dafa study, and one audiotape of Teacher's lectures. They planned to send her to a forced labor camp for a year and a half, and have now detained her at the Chatou Yuexiu District Detention Center. Before that, Ms. Chen had been detained and sent to brainwashing sessions many times, where she suffered both mental and physical tortures.

Ms. Wang Fuju is a retiree from the Yilan County Industrial and Commercial Bank. At around 11:00 a.m. on March 1, 2004, Wang was tricked and arrested by Chen Jiguang, the head of the "610 Office," police officer Sun Lihuo from the Public Security Bureau, and Zhao Fangkun, the deputy president of the bank. Zhao called Wang and said, "Please come to the bank, there is an issue about salary to discuss with you." But when Wang went to the bank, she was arrested, then sent to the "610 Office" brainwashing center located at the Water Resources Technical School at Yizhou Street, Linyu City.

On April 15, 2004, Mr. Guo Yulong, who is from Liaohe Oilfield, Liaoning Province, called a taxi at Cicai. He was reported to police by the taxi driver, and is now detained in Liaozhong County.

On the morning of April 1, 2004, Zhang Guojun, together with Su Chunxu, chief of the political security section in Yuanshi County, Shijiazhuang City, along with many police officers and officials from Sucun Township, went to Wangcun, Yuanshi County as a group of about 40 people in seven vehicles. They abducted Dafa practitioners Zhou Xiuqi (age 60+) and Liu Xinfu (approx. age 60), then detained them at Yuanshi County Detention Center.

While arresting the two Falun Gong practitioners, Zhang and the other officers followed no legal procedures. They just accused practitioners of calling him, his relatives, and father-in-law to clarify the truth of Dafa.

Recently, a Dafa practitioner at the Nanjing Military Zone Headquarters was arrested for clarifying the truth of Dafa to people. The practitioner's name is unknown. It's said he (or she) will be sentenced to five years in jail.

Ms. Wang Yingkun has been detained many times because she continues to practice Falun Gong and does not give in to the local "610 Office." On March 26, 2004, she was tricked into a brainwashing session. Since she has exposed the criminal behavior of local police officers to the international media, she was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp on March 29. She is currently detained at Hefei Women's Forced Labor Camp.

According to insiders, Ms. Wang showed symptoms of high blood pressure, but the camp officers do not allow her to be bailed out for medical care.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Yangui from Qidong and He Qunyang from Qiyang were detained in the Qiyang Detention Center for 40 days.

Ms. Wang Yongmei, about 24 years old, entered Tonghua Normal College in 1998. On the afternoon of April 13, 2004, she was abducted by several police officers from the Third Police Station of Helong City, Jilin Province. She was to be sent to Tonghua City. Wang Yongmei has been forced to live a homeless life for three years after she suffered persecution beginning in 1999. Her brother was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp because he practices Falun Gong. Under such pressure, their father had a stroke, and could not take care of himself.

Mr. Yu Hongge was illegally sentenced to forced labor camp because he went to Beijing to appeal. After he was bailed out for medical care, he posted a statement in front of the Anshan Forced Labor Camp to declare that the "guarantee statement" of giving up Falun Gong practice he signed under pressure was void. The statement influenced many people. Later he went back to work, and has been a hard working employee. It's known that the Gangdu Public Security Bureau branch and the Anshan City Public Security Bureau have recently arrested Yu again and detained him in the Second Detention Center of Anshan City. Police officers' wrong doings have incurred great public indignation.

On April 5, 2004, Ms. Pan Qi from Dalian City clarified the truth about Dafa to patients at her work place, but was reported and arrested by police officers from the Huangmei Detention Center. Three police officers searched her apartment and found some Dafa truth-clarification materials. Now Pan Qi has been transferred to the Jinzhou Sanli Detention Center. Her case was taken by police officer Xu Yungang from the Development Zone Public Security Bureau.

Several days ago, three Dafa practitioners in Shiyan City were sent to Xiajiadian Brainwashing Session, Shiyan City. They are technician Mr. Lu Yong from Dongfeng No. 1 Foundry, Mr. Yan Qiang from Dongfeng Carburetor Factory No. 64, and Li Xinshu, a retiree from the Dongfeng Transmission Factory #59.

1.) Ms. Wang Shaoqing is a 60-year-old farmer and resident of Donggang, Gongan County. In mid-March 2004, she was arrested at home by police officers from Gongan County, who broke into her home by breaking anti-theft door/window frames. Later, she was sent to the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center. Wang suffered various kinds of mental and physical torture. Authorities attempted to force her into giving up her belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." She is still detained at the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center.

2.) Ms. Long Dezhen is a 56-year-old housewife and resident of Gongan County. On March 22, 2004, she was arrested at home by police officers from the Gongan County "610 Office," and she has still not been released. This is the second time she has been illegally detained.

3.) Ms. Li Guangzhen is a 65-year-old housewife and resident of Gongan County. She was arrested in mid-March 2004, while handing out Dafa truth materials at Zenbutou by police officers from the local police station, and sent to the county detention center. She has yet to be released. This is the second time she has been illegally detained.

4.) Ms. Mao Shanyu is a 63-year-old housewife and resident of Gongan County. She was arrested in mid-March 2004 by police officers from the local police station while she was handing out Dafa truth materials together with Li Guangzhen at Zenbutou. She was then sent to the county detention center, and has still not been released. This is the second time she has been illegally detained.

Dafa practitioners Ms. Wan Xier, Ms. Zhou Meixiang, Mr. Du Yuanfu, Ms. Zhou Mei, Ms. Chen Meili, and Mr. Mao Linsen were secretly arrested recently by police officers.

Jiang Wei (from Fengman District, Jilin City), Dong Guangwen (Tonghua City), Jin Fengxue (Shulan County), Jiang Jianfeng (Songyuan County), Zhang Jingshou (Longjin, Yanbian City), Zhu Dechen (Fuyu), Li Xiaodong (Gongzhuling City), Jin Fanlong (Tumen City), Zhou Junzhu (Jinlin City), Jin Junjie (Longjin City, Yanbian Autonomous Zone), Liu Guangzhi (Jiangbei, Jilin City), Liu Guangrong (No. 456 Hospital, Fengman District, Jilin City), Bai Jingsong (Dehui City), Chen Ji (Shulan City), Hao Jingchun (Jilin City), and Song Youzhi (Jilin City) are Dafa practitioners who have been detained at the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp for extended periods.

On March 10, 2004, the Beipei District Court tried Dafa practitioners Zhou Chenxing and Chen Shanquan. The trial ended on the morning of March 10, but no results were declared.

Mr. Zhou Chenxin was born in 1947, and is a farmer from Group 7, Yongmu Village, Qingnianguan Township. He was arrested in May 2003, and is still detained at Beipei District Detention Center.

Mr. Chen Shanquan was born in 1970, and formerly was a teacher at the Second Middle School of Qingnianguan Township. He was arrested on May 21, 2003, and is still being detained at Beipei District Detention Center.

On the morning on April 2, 2004, Ms. Liu Fang from the Nuerhe Textile Factory, Taihe District, along with two other Dafa practitioners, went to the New Taimen Township to clarify Dafa truth to people, but were reported on to the police. Liu Fang was arrested, but the other two escaped. Liu Fang is now detained at the Huludao City Detention Center.

On the evening of April 2, 2004, Mr. Cai Zhigang from the Jinzhou City Development Zone was arrested without cause from his workplace by police officers from Wangjia Police Station of the Development Zone.

After hearing of the case, Cai's father and wife went to the Wangjia Police Station to find out what had happened, but were also detained. At 11:00 p.m., seven police officers, along with the director of the local Residential Office, brought Cai's father and wife with them, and searched Cai's home and his father's home. The police officers left at 3:00 a.m. While police officers searched his home, Cai escaped and has had to live a homeless life to avoid further persecution.

Note: Mr. Cai Zhigang is 41 years old. Before the persecution started in July 1999, he worked at the Towboat Company, Jinzhou Port Business Company Inc. He was the coordinator of the Development Zone Falun Gong practice site. In October 2000, he was arrested by the Jinzhou City "610 Office," and was detained at the Jinzhou City's First Detention Center. He was extorted of an unknown sum of money before he was released. After his release, he was fired and forced to leave home for over three months to avoid harassment from police officers. Later on, he was arrested at a materials site at Linghai City and was detained at the Linghai Detention Center. Half a year later, he was transferred to the Jinzou City Forced Labor Camp for a two-year term. He was released in December 2002. In June 2003, he started as a temporary contract worker at the Jinzhou City Port Engineering Company.

In early 2004, Wang Yuancai (name extrapolated by sound) and Xiao Pu, two Dafa practitioners from the Mianyang City Hi-Tech Zone, were arrested by police officers for handing out Dafa truth materials. They are now detained at Mianyang City Detention Center.

Because of practicing Falun Gong, Li Qingjun and Zhang Xiaorong's bookstore was confiscated by police officers from Political Security Section, Yingyang City. This cut off Li's income source, and has made their living situation very difficult.
