Officials of Daqing City in the Datong Area Attempt to Fabricate a "Falun Gong Suicide"

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, a villager visiting his/her relatives, who came from Daqing City, Linyuan Town, Datong area, New Village 7^th unit, narrated a story of the government's attempt to engineer a "Falun Gong suicide" in the village.

The incident started when a villager Kong Zhaoyuan committed suicide as a result of family conflicts.

Datong officials heard the news and took a doctor to Kong's home. The officials immediately wanted to cut open the dead man's stomach. They asked Kong's family to say that Kong Zhaoyuan went insane because of practicing Falun Gong. They even guaranteed to pay his funeral expenses if they would say this. Kong Zhaoyuan's family refused, saying that the old gentleman could not go to the funeral with a "self-inflicted" wound to his stomach, and there were no Falun Gong practitioners in the village. They know nothing about Falun Gong.

The Datong officials then threatened them saying "If you don't do whatever we ask, we will accuse you of abusing the old man." Kong Zhaoyuan's family wasn't intimidated, they asked the government officials instead, "Where is the evidence that we abused the old man?!" They couldn't come up with an answer and left.

This event has caused an enormous impact on the village. The villagers were shocked by the way the government attempted to fabricate things. They are saying, "right now everything is bogus, even government officials are creating lies, isn't society done for?!"
