A Bouquet of Roses is Delivered to the Xindi Detention Center, Fuxin City


(Clearwisdom.net) On December 24, 1999, Chen Xiaoying, a Falun Gong practitioner from Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, was illegally arrested by officers from the Fuxin Branch of the Public Security Bureau while she was handing out material clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. She was detained at the Xindi Detention Center.

The next day, Cui Guangxi, Chen Xiaoying's husband (who did not practice Falun Gong), came to the detention center to visit his wife, carrying a bouquet of roses. He said, "Xiaoying, today is your birthday. We have been married for almost 30 years, and in all that time I have never given you a gift. I bought this bouquet for you, each petal representing my heart full of love for you. You are a wonderful wife. You are not wrong for practicing Falun Gong. The police do not allow me to leave this bouquet of roses for you, so I'll have to take it back with me. You have only a few more moments to look at them. I didn't expect that you would be spending your birthday here this year. Although I do not practice Falun Gong, I respect your beliefs. Those of you who cultivate "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" are all good people. No matter who stands against you, I will always stand by your side and support you!"

All the Dafa practitioners were instantly moved. The female prisoners in the same cell sobbed after hearing his words. A nearby policeman said, "It is really a novel thing to bring flowers to a detention center."
