(Clearwisdom.net) On December 30, 2001, police abducted Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Jingrong from Nanyang City, Henan Province. The police came from Nanyang City's Wancheng District Police Department. During her detention she suffered a recurrence of her old illness, brought on by maltreatment from the police. She died soon after she was released.
Ms. Wang Jingrong was 60 years old. Her hometown was Huancheng Town/Nanyang City, Henan Province. She started practicing Falun Dafa cultivation in the spring of 1998. Before that she had many illnesses such as high blood pressure and hardening of the arteries of the brain and other maladies. After she started practicing Falun Dafa, her illnesses vanished.
After her abduction on December 30, 2001, family members inquired about her situation. The police told them a date when she would be released. When that day came the police did not release her.
In early February 2002, the police forced the family members to pay a "deposit" of 3,000 Yuan, and forced them to sign a "guarantee statement." When the police ransacked Ms. Wang's home they found some Falun Dafa materials. They used this as the reason to detain her long-term. Ms. Wang Jingrong couldn't take in any food during her detention, and suffered a recurrence of her old illnesses due to their maltreatment and negligence. After the police released her she was sent to the hospital and was diagnosed as suffering from disease of the esophagus. She died not long after she was sent home again on December 5, 2002.
