One day, a practitioner from Hubei explained the facts about Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) to an elderly gentleman. He listened to the information closely, and whenever someone came close by, he would tell the practitioner to wait, continue later, and to be safe.

After a few days, this gentleman came to the practitioner's house and said, "Yesterday when I was at the railroad track, I saw a person tossing out a flyer from the train, and I discovered that it was a Falun Gong flyer. After I read it, I thought it was very reasonable, and I understand that the government's persecution against Falun Gong is all based on lies, propaganda, and meant to tarnish [Falun Gong]. I do not know much about Falun Gong, and so I would like to understand more about it and practice it myself."

So this practitioner told him in detail about how Falun Gong has developed and spread throughout the world, how Dafa have brought humankind and society many benefits, and also the principles of Dafa cultivation. After that, the practitioner gave him a VCD. The old gentleman said, "From today on, I will use Dafa's standards to guide myself, stop using cigarettes and alcohol, and become a better person."

Before he left, the practitioner gave him a book and some truth-clarifying materials. The elderly gentleman continuously said, "This is great. Practitioners are so good, and I will definitely treasure this. Though I do not have much of a predestined relationship with Dafa, I have now finally understood what Falun Dafa is. Thank you very much." The practitioner said, "Having a strong predestined relationship or not, it is never too late to practice Falun Dafa. You don't need to thank us, you should thank Teacher Li."

In Zhucheng City, there is an elderly lady in her 60s who suffered from insomnia and a restless mind. In November 2003, she and her neighbor (who is a practitioner) talked about this issue. The neighbor told her that she practices Falun Gong and that her health is great. She also let her read a passage from Teacher Li's recent lecture. The next day, this lady came to the neighbor's house and said, "Yesterday I slept very well, this practice is great." Then she borrowed a copy of Zhuan Falun [the principal teachings of Falun Dafa] to practice at home.
