(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuyuan, 52, was from Shenhe District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She was tortured to the brink of death during detention at the Longshan Forced Labor Camp. She passed away on April 27, 2004, a week after her release.

In 2002, Ms. Wang Xiuyuan wrote to her local police department branch and the Political and Judiciary Section of the Zhengyang Street Committee, telling them that Falun Dafa was good and described the mental and physical benefits Falun Dafa brings to people. Later, police arrested her from home and illegally sentenced her to two years of forced labor. She was detained at Shenyang City's Longshan Forced Labor Camp.

Because of her firm belief in Dafa during detention at the Longshan Forced Labor Camp, Ms. Wang Xiuyuan suffered many physical and mental tortures, such as sleep deprivation, beatings, attacks on her spiritual and mental state, intensive labor and other abuses in violation of the Chinese Constitution. As a result, Ms. Wang Xiuyuan became extremely weak and couldn't take care of herself. Later when she was on the brink of death, she was sent to the Liaoning Prison General Hospital and remained there until her release on April 19, 2004.

She passed away one week later on April 27, 2004, due to the severe injuries she received at the Longshan Forced Labor Camp.
