(Clearwisdom.net) In clarifying the truth to the public, the term "evil" is often used. While using this term I have often felt that it is incorrect, as if there were some human emotion, even some hatred of the evil. When I was reading Teacher's lectures, I saw that there were references to "the most evil person," "scoundrels in the political clique," "head of the evil," and so on, and I realized that they were facts. But there was some hindrance in my mind, a feeling that when I criticize someone that way, I am being "unkind."

Only after reading Teacher's articles did I truly realize that when discussing the innate nature of evil, Teacher is showing mercy to all beings. Ultimately, it is to save them. The evil is persecuting sentient beings, dragging them down into the depths of the abyss. Should we not be telling them this'

I now really understand that before, I had a bit of a human notion remaining that was hindering me from recognizing evil for what it is. The starting point from which Teacher approaches anything is

"I made this trip just for the sake of sentient beings" (From "Descending to the Earthly World" -- New Year's Greetings to Dafa Disciples in 2003).

Teacher told us about the innate nature of evil, not because he wants us to hate it, but because he wants us to save sentient beings. He does not want the sentient beings to be annihilated by evil. If we cannot help sentient beings to recognize evil, many of them may follow the evil and fall into the unfathomable abyss of no return. Would that not be a great loss'

After understanding this point, whenever I used the term "evil" there was absolutely no feeling of hatred for it any longer. I only hope that sentient beings will clearly see the innate nature of evil and become aware of it, and walk away from the calamity.
