Switzerland: "Chinese Week" Activities Held in a Middle School in Brugg (Photos)

(Clearwsidom.net) Many activities were recently held in a Brugg, Switzerland middle school's "Chinese Week." The Mayor of Brugg, the middle school's teachers and students, and the participants took a deep interest in the activities, particularly in the painting exhibition of Ms. Zhang Cuiying.

Ms. Zhang, Ms. Dai Zhizhen and local Dafa practitioners adopted various methods to tell people the truth of Falun Gong on this particular occasion. Ms. Zhang, Ms. Dai and her daughter Fadu, used their personal experiences to describe the beauty of Falun Dafa and to expose the atrocities against Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang's regime. The teachers, students, and participants were deeply touched by their stories.

The local practitioners also used this opportunity to teach the students to sing "Falun Dafa Is Great" in their classroom. Being intrigued, the students learned the song attentively and could sing "Falun Dafa Is Great" in Chinese together with the practitioners. The practitioners also taught the students to write through the medium of calligraphy. Their interest in Chinese characters motivated them to learn to write the Chinese words of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

We practitioners were delighted to see how they started to understand the meaning of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." One of the teachers told the students her story. One day her son drove her car and had the scratched the car paint. She would have had an argument with her son if she had not learned of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." But this time she thought of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and did not lose her temper.

The teacher also arranged for the students to learn Falun Gong, with the practitioners teaching them the five sets of exercises.

The Mayor of Brugg came to the middle school twice, appreciating the exhibition of Ms. Zhang's paintings, and listening to the teachers' and students' description of the beauty of Falun Dafa. Seeing that the teachers and students benefited a lot from Falun Dafa, the mayor expressed his appreciation for the beauty brought by Falun Dafa and for Ms. Zhang's paintings which demonstrated the essence of Chinese culture to the Swiss people. The mayor and the school principal visited Ms. Zhang in person and gave her a souvenir of Brugg. The Swiss newspapers General Zeitung and Agauer positively reported the Falun Gong activities with eye-catching photos.
