Honoring Falun Dafa
The Council of the City of Philadelphia is pleased to honor
Falun Dafa on the Occasion of its 12th anniversary in the United
States.
Whereas, Falun Dafa is an ancient form of Qigong, the
practice of refining the mind and body through study special exercises and
meditation. Qigong is a vital part of many people's lives in Asia. By the break
of Dawn, almost every Chinese park is brimming with people practicing these
arts; and
Whereas, Thursday, May 13, 2004, is World Falun Dafa Day,
when practitioners world wide will get together to celebrate this remarkable and
universal practice; and
Whereas, the practice of Falun Dafa is a self-improvement
practice that includes traditional Chinese exercises and meditation. Its
teaching is based on the principle of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance.
Therefore, by virtue of this citation, the Council of the
City of Philadelphia is proud to declare the month of May as "Falun Dafa Month"
in Philadelphia. Your universal message to improve human rights, moral
reconstruction and the health and well being of all people is a message embraced
by all Philadelphians.
