Philadelphia, USA: The Philadelphia Inquirer: A Perfect Day for Qigong (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) The Philadelphia Inquirer published a photo report of Falun
Gong practitioners' celebration of World Falun Dafa Day on May 14. The caption
of the first picture read, "A banner flutters in the breeze as local
practitioners of Falun Dafa, also called Falun Gong, celebrate World Falun Dafa.
Yesterday marked the anniversary of Falun Dafa founder Li Hongzhi's public
introduction of the practice in 1992. Cultivation practices, or "qigong,"
promote well-being through exercises and meditation. The Chinese government
estimates that by 1999, between 70 million to 100 million Chinese citizens were
practicing. The practice is also observed in more than 60 countries."
