Non-Practitioner Friend of Overseas Dafa Practitioner Has to Quit Her Job and Leave China to Avoid Harassment from State Security Bureau
(Clearwisdom.net) I started to practice Falun Dafa in 1995,
and I went overseas to live two years later. In 1999 Jiang's regime started to persecute Falun Gong. In
order to encourage my aunt, who had introduced Dafa to me, to hold fast to her
belief in Teacher and Dafa, I sent her some materials about Falun Gong being
persecuted in China. These materials were discovered by someone in the mailroom,
who opened the package and reported it to the authorities. Now my name is on
record at the State Security Bureau. They dispatched someone to investigate at
my previous work unit and came up with nothing. My parents are retired, so they
went to talk to one of my friends (a Party member, and not a practitioner). They
told her that I opposed the government and the Party from overseas, and asked
for information about me. My friend said she had no longer had contact with me
and knew nothing of my situation. The State Security Bureau staff tapped her
telephone and frequently harassed her at work. They even went to her husband's
work place to harass him. Since then, my friend has avoided contact with me. She did not dare to talk with me. I tried to call her cell
phone, and she would say, "Since you called me, I'll have to change my cell
phone number again after a few days." I sensed the terrible pressure she was
under. My friend could do nothing but leave the country. She quit
her government job, and in order to evade entanglement with the State Security
Bureau, she left her husband and her child, going overseas to study. At first
she still did not dare to communicate with me much. She gradually felt more at
ease overseas, and now we have regular communication. Cases like this are numerous, and they should continue to be
exposed.
