(Clearwisdom.net) On May 16, 2004, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners in Yilan practiced the exercises and introduced Falun Dafa in Luodong Sports Park. The park is famous for its beautiful scenery, and every day, many people come in by tourist buses from across Taiwan.

Some practitioners come on the weekends to practice the exercises and distribute flyers promoting Falun Gong. Dr. Chen, who runs a dental clinic in Luodong, stated that he had relied on medicine to improve his sleep, but after practicing Falun Gong, his insomnia was cured. He also had better control over his temper. Another practitioner, Dr. Li, said that her medical knowledge and personal experience can verify the tremendous effects of Falun Dafa in improving one's character and keeping fit. She also talked about the fact that Falun Gong has won more than 1200 awards and proclamations across the world. In Taiwan, it has also received recognition, from the government to people from all walks of life.

Ms. Lin from Wujie Township and her daughter, who is in primary school, have practiced Falun Gong for several years. She said that after practicing Falun Gong, children can follow what Zhuan Falun requires to improve their moral character and achieve their goals in life. Some of them have been selected as model students several times. An employee in the township government praised Ms. Lin, saying that after practicing Falun Gong, she is always considerate of others, takes good care of her parents-in-law and keeps her home in good order. She is well respected by everyone around her.

A retired couple who are teachers in Luodong said that they have become strong, healthy and energetic after practicing Falun Gong. Zhuan Falun has answered their questions about life, which they had not been able to get answers to after many years of searching. Because both of them have benefited tremendously, they feel they should let more people learn the truth about Falun Gong, so they were happy to participate in the activity.

A visitor expressed to the practitioners who distributed the materials that she had thought of learning Falun Gong, but did not know who to ask for information. Today she was very happy to come across practitioners here. Practitioner Ms. Li told the visitor that Falun Gong does not accept gifts nor charge fees, and it has nothing to do with religion and politics. It requires practitioners to improve their moral character and to be good people. At present, there are more than 1,000 practice sites across Taiwan, so she should be able find a site close to her residence.

Falun Gong is flourishing in Taiwan. Many people have become healthy both physically and mentally. It's a sharp contrast to Mainland China, where Falun Gong practitioners who persist in their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are suffering brutal persecution, and people are subjected to deceitful propaganda.
