Quebec, Canada: Police Car Decorated with Lotus Flowers Leads World Falun Dafa Day Parade (Photos) By Falun Gong practitioners in Quebec
(Clearwisdom.net) On May 16, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners
in Quebec, Canada hosted a rally and parade to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day in
conjunction with people in more than 60 countries around the world. In front of the Quebec Provincial Parliament Building where
there were a lot of tourists, practitioners held group practice in the morning,
and then held a press conference and accepted interviews from the media at
11:00a.m. From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., practitioners hosted a parade downtown to let
people to know the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa and expose the Jiang group's
brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. The kind-hearted Quebec
people were eager to accept Falun Dafa truth clarification materials. The police officers who were on duty naturally "joined" the
celebration parade. Prior to the parade, seeing that practitioners decorated
their cars with folded paper lotus flowers, a police officer who was in charge
of leading the parade, asked for a lotus flower and pasted it on his car.
Practitioners saw that he liked it so much, so they gave him another one and
asked him to pass it to his colleagues. After that, the police officer asked for
more lotus flowers, and was not satisfied until the front and back and top of
his car were decorated with beautiful lotus flowers. The main local newspaper The Sun covered the activity,
and many photographers from the press recorded Falun Gong practitioners'
graceful dance and exercise demonstrations. Posting date: 5/22/2004 |
