World Falun Dafa Day in Slovakia and the Czech Republic (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong Practitioners from Slovakia and the Czech Republic celebrated May 13, World Falun Dafa Day, with peaceful assemblies in Bratislava and Brno.

In Bratislava, passersby stopped to admire the multi-colored balloons displaying the words "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance". They often mentioned that those are exactly the values that people today need. One elderly man said, "If all people followed Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, our world would look completely different." Many people showed interest in the exercises, and many children showed interest in the nice balloons.

In Brno, practitioners were set up on a busy street, with crowds of people passing by. It was sometimes difficult for the people to stop and watch the exercises, but many did so, and quietly observed the practitioners' demonstration. The people thanked us for the fliers, and often asked why Falun Gong is being persecuted in China. After we pointed out that in China there is one dictator, who was very jealous of Falun Gong's popularity, most understood. Many people also demonstrated their disagreement with the persecution by signing our petition.

On May 15, in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, there was another peaceful gathering commemorating World Falun Dafa Day. The well-known square "Staromestske Namesti" was full of people watching the famous astronomical clock. Under the clock Falun Gong practitioners were peacefully demonstrating the exercises. Many tourists stopped and asked about Falun Gong, and after learning the facts of the persecution, they expressed their support. A short press conference was held with the participation of Petr Kutilek, the Olympic Watch Secretary, who read a statement condemning the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
