In April 2001, Ms. Zhu Xia was illegally arrested and imprisoned at the Nanmusi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong City, Sichuan Province. In order to force her to give up her belief in Falun Dafa, starting in May 2002, the labor camp authorities used horrible torture methods on her. After her term expired, the Chengdu City "610 Office" refused to release her, and they had her detained at Pengzhou City brainwashing center, Pi County brainwashing center and Xinjin County brainwashing center, in succession. It has been verified that in the brainwashing centers, under the torture and long-term sleep deprivation, Ms. Zhu Xia's suffered a mental collapse and has not been able to recover from it.
