The Authorities Arrest Two Sisters; their Mother Dies of a Heart Attack Brought on From Worry and Grief

(Clearwisdom.net) In January of 2004, police officers in Handan City, Hebei Province arrested Ms. Tang Hui, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Handan. Ms. Tang's mother, Li Lunhui, requested that the police let her visit her imprisoned daughter. Worried and extremely upset after being denied, Tang's mother suddenly had a heart attack and died.

On January 29, 2004, the authorities in the District of Congtai, City of Handan, Hebei Province, led by Section Chief An Zhenzhi, together with the local police, arrested practitioner Tang Hui, Tang's sister, her brother-in-law (neither of the two practices Falun Dafa), and another relative, Tang Yu. They were house-sitting at the home of Tang's mother, Li Lunhui, who lived in the No. 63 Workers Family Apartment Building, Fuxing District. After extorting 3,000 Yuan [the average monthly income of a Chinese worker is about 500 Yuan] from Tang's sister and brother-in-law, the authorities later released her sister and brother-in-law.

After releasing the others, the police detained and tortured practitioner Tang Hui using handcuffs, shackles, and an iron helmet.

Upon witnessing both of her daughters being dragged into the police vehicles, Li Lunhui was extremely worried and very upset. Soon Li and her husband went together to the office of An Zhenzhi, the person responsible for arresting her daughters. The couple insisted that they be permitted to visit their daughters, but were refused. Having learned that her daughters were being tortured while in custody, Ms. Li became extremely upset. She suffered a sudden, massive heart attack, and died at 6:30 a.m., March 30, 2004. In such a short period of time, a happy family was torn apart by tragedy as a result of the persecution.

Because April 2 was to be the day of Ms. Li's funeral, her family appealed to the authorities to release Ms. Li's detained daughter Tang Hui so she could attend the funeral. The authorities again denied the request and in fact, Tang Hui has been imprisoned ever since.

Jiang's regime has been continuously persecuting Dafa practitioners for five years. They have ruined numerous families, caused thousands of deaths, and brought countless atrocities upon those who live according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
