(Clearwisdom.net) 1. [Beijing] Six Dafa Practitioners from Shijingshan District Are Sentenced In January and February 2004, six Dafa practitioners from Shijingshan
District were illegally sentenced. The fabricated charges were "attempt to
tap into TV signals, and storing a large amount of truth-clarifying CDs and
other materials." Below are the practitioners' names and jail terms: Mr. Huang Jian, 12 years; The above were sent to Chadian Prison in Tianjin City, where they were
detained in several groups, including Group No. 12 and Group No. 19. Ms. Sun Jingping, 7 years; The above two practitioners were sent to Tiantanghe Women's Prison. The persecutors had detained the above six practitioners for about 18 months
in a detention center where conditions were extremely bad. Wei Shijun's health
is currently in a dangerous state. He has serious liver and kidney diseases, and
there are two three-inch long and very deep scars, one on his hand and one on
his face. According to information from the prison, the scars resulted from
torture in the detention center before he was sent to prison. Many Dafa practitioners from Beijing are detained in Chadian Prison in
Tianjin City. Many of them are intellectuals from colleges and universities in

of Beijing) is also detained there on a prison term of 4 years. The detained practitioners were allowed to exchange a few letters per month
with their friends and relatives, but the letters were subjected to strict

Han Ping and Ms. Qin Airong for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials In early April 2004, while local Dafa practitioner Ms. Han Ping was
distributing truth-clarifying materials near Nanjinguan, Yichang City, some
persecutors received a report about her activity. They arrested her and sent her
to the No. 1 Detention Center in Yichang City. Around 4 PM on April 10, 2004, local Dafa practitioner Ms. Qin Airong was
distributing truth-clarifying materials near the No. 3 Middle School of Yichang
City. Police from the Gulou Street Police Station (Xiling District, Yichang

Sentenced to Forced Labor Again Ms. Xu Chunling is in her 30's, and her hometown is Hangzhou City, Zhejiang
Province. She was a police officer in the Qiaosi Prison of Zhejiang Province.
Because she is steadfast in her practice of Falun Dafa and went twice to Beijing
to appeal, her work unit fired her in February 2000. In March 2000, Ms. Xu went
to Nanning to work for her younger sister, a self-employed businesswoman. In
2001, the Yongxin District Police Station in Nanning City sentenced Ms. Xu to 1
year of forced labor. She was released at the end of 2002. In March 2004,
because Ms. Xu clarified the truth to people, police from Yongxin District
arrested her again. It was said that she is currently detained in the Maoqiao
Reeducation Camp in Nanning City. Her family members are not allowed to visit
her. According to her family, Ms. Xu was sentenced to 2 years of forced labor. 4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Persecutors Arrest Dafa Practitioner
Mr. Yang Tingxiang Mr. Yang Tingxiang is a 43-year-old Dafa practitioner from Shenyang City.
Around April 28, 2004, Yang was arrested for a second time. Mr. Yang went to Beijing to appeal in November 1999. The persecutors arrested
him and detained him in the No. 5 Detention Center of Shenyang City for 2 weeks.
His family members then were able to have him released on bail. At the end of
July 2003, when Yang delivered some truth-clarifying materials to a Dafa
practitioner's home, several police officers happened to be there ransacking the
practitioner's home. The police abducted Mr. Yang and took him to a police
station. On the same night, Mr. Yang escaped from the police station with his
righteous thoughts. Since that time, he has been forced to stay away from his
home and move from place to place. Because the police often harassed his family
members, they were also forced to leave home and stay with Mr. Yang in a rented
apartment. Around April 28, 2004, Yang was arrested for the second time, at the
apartment where he was staying. His current whereabouts are unknown. 5. [Emeishan City, Sichuan Province] Six Dafa Practitioners Are Arrested
Recently On December 4, 2003, practitioner Wang Zairong from Suishan Town (Emeishan
City, Sichuan Province) was arrested again and sentenced to 3 years of forced
labor. Wang had already been arrested five times and sentenced to forced labor
once before. In Anchuan Village, Suishan Town, six Dafa practitioners were arrested in
March 2004: Ms. Yang Fengying, Ms. Yao Guilian, Ms. Yao Kailian, Ms. Yang Limei
(the above 4 practitioners were all sentenced to 18 months of forced labor); Mr.
Lei Qipan (sentenced to 1 year of forced labor), and Ms. Li Dongmei (sentenced
to 2 years of forced labor). Ms. Tian Huajun is a 42-year-old Dafa practitioner from Emeishan City. She
was arrested on March 14, 2004 in Leshan City. The persecutors detained her in
Shizhushan Detention Center of Leshan City, where they put handcuffs and
shackles on her. 6. [Inner Mongolia] Two Dafa Practitioners Are Detained at Xilinhaote
Detention Center The local police arrested practitioner Hu Cheng and another Dafa practitioner
while they were clarifying the truth on April 24, 2004 in Xilinhaote City.
Currently, the two practitioners are detained at Xilinhaote Detention Center. 7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Zhou Xinchun and Zhu Hanying Are
Arrested Practitioner Zhou Xinchun is currently detained at the No. 2 Detention Center
of Wuhan City. Practitioner Zhu Hanying was first detained at the No. 1
Detention Center of Wuhan City, and then transferred to the Yangyuan
Brainwashing Center for some time before being transferred back to the No. 1
Detention Center of Wuhan City. 8. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Many Dafa Practitioners Are Arrested After the arrest of Dafa practitioners Ms. Mao and Deng Changjiu, four more
practitioners from Pengzhou City were also arrested on April 27, 2004, including
Gao Ping, Zhang Qinfang, and Mr. Chen Xiaoyou. When the police was arresting
Chen Xiaoyou, he escaped using righteous thoughts. However, after Mr. Chen
returned home in the evening, Taiqing Town Governor Zeng Zhaolin and some other
police guards from Pengzhou City "610 Office" abducted him from his
home. Chen's daughter tried to stop the persecutors, but was thrown to the
floor. She shouted loudly, "My neighbors, come and look! The ruling Party

Arrested Thirty-seven-year-old practitioner Ms. Lin Shaoling is from Shantou City,
Guangdong Province. Around May 1, 2004, Ms. Lin clarified the truth to people.
On May 4, the Shantou City Police Department arrested her from her relative's
home. The persecutors then detained Ms. Lin at a local detention center. 10. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Police Arrest Dafa Practitioner Peng
Peiyun, Wang Yuqin and Others On April 24. 2004, when practitioner Peng Peiyun and her husband were
shopping in the Guancheng District, the local "610 Office" arrested
them and subjected them to a body search. The persecutors did not find anything
on the couple, so they ransacked their home later that same day. The couple is
now detained at the Zhongyuan District Detention Center. Practitioners Wang Yuqin, Ma, and Zhao were arrested some time ago. They are
currently detained at the No. 2 Detention Center of Zhengzhou City. According to
inside information, many Dafa practitioners are now detained in the No. 2
Detention Center. 11. [Tianjin City] Two Practitioners Are Arrested Mr. Geng Dong is a 30-year-old Dafa practitioner from Tianjin City. On
January 22, 2004, he was arrested outside the Fumin Hotel in Zhuhai City,
Guangdong Province. He is currently detained in the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in
Guangdong Province. (The Fumin Hotel is a brainwashing center, with guards at
the entrance.) Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Dexiu is 54 years old. She is a worker at
Yangliuqing Farm in the Xiqing District, Tianjin City. On April 24, 2004, she
was arrested by the Xiqing Police Sub-station. 12. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] The Recent Persecution of Dafa
Practitioners In March and April 2004, after he returned from a 2-week "study
session" in Beijing, Macheng City "610 Office" director Luo
Zisheng hosted three meetings at the city, town, and village levels. The
persecutors then tried to deceive practitioners who were working in the city
into going to a brainwashing center (using the pretext of "attending a
job-related training session"). Because the practitioners were all very
rational, the persecutors' scheme failed. They then tried to persecute
practitioners in the nearby rural areas. Some police stations like Yanhe, Gulou,
and Tiemen Police Station hired some thugs to follow and monitor Dafa
practitioners. Some practitioners who went to the rural areas to clarify the
truth were beaten up by the thugs so badly that one could hardly recognize them.
Persecutors in some villages use loudspeakers to broadcast the following
message: "If we find Falun Gong practitioners, we will take them to the
village government and 'fix them up.'" The persecutors in the rural areas
arrest, detain, and extort large amount of money from Dafa practitioners at
will. Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Xiancheng from Tiemen District, Macheng City is in
his 60s. The Baiguo Town Police Station arrested him and sent him to the No. 2
Detention Center of the city. Mr. Zhou was detained there for 3 days before

Police Station Persecute Dafa Practitioners Policeman Zhou Xiaofeng from the Wanzhen Border Guard Police Station lead
some persecutors and arrested practitioner Zhang Ximin and Shi Long (the two
practitioners are workers from out-of-town) on September 27, 2004. The
persecutors also ransacked the apartments of the two practitioners. When the
practitioners asked Zhou for the reason of the arrest, Zhou replied,
"Because you practice Falun Gong." On the second day, family members
of Zhang Ximin had to give the persecutors 5,000 yuan (2) in order to have Zhang
released. Zhou Xiaofeng sent Shi Long to Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City,
where Mr. Shi was detained for 15 days before he was released. During Mr. Shi's
detention, Zhou extorted 1,000 yuan from his family. Practitioner Mr. Liu Xingwang works at the No. 2 Dongdian Company in Wanzhen.
On June 20, 2000, Mr. Liu went to Beijing to appeal. The police arrested him and
sent him back. The Dalian City "610 Office" instructed the Wanzhen
Border Guard Police Station to extort 5,200 Yuan from Mr. Liu's father. At the
time, Mr. Liu's father thought that if he paid the money, the police would
release his son. However, after the police took the money, they sent Mr. Liu to
the Dalian Reeducation Camp and detained him there for over a year. Wanzhen Border Guard Police Station: 86-411-87100699 14. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] The Police Arrest Practitioner Jiang
Wei And Try to Extort Money Dafa practitioner Ms. Jiang Wei was the owner of the Landun Hotel in Chaoyang
City. She was released after two and a half years of torture in the Masanjia
Forced Labor Camp. On April 3, 2004, the Chaoyang Police Department arrested her
again. They also arrested Ms. Jiang's daughter at the same time. Jiang Wei was
sent to Masanjia for the second time. After over ten days of torture, Ms. Jiang
was in critical condition. Recently, the persecutors sent her to the Shijiahetao
Detention Center. No visitors are allowed. Jiang Wei's daughter and another
practitioner, Xie Baofeng, from Xiaheshou were also detained in the same
detention center. In addition, practitioner Li Liang, Qiao Zhongjin and his wife (the couple
are from Jianping County) were also arrested around April 2004. It is said that
they are detained in Wujiawa Detention Center. Police officers Wang Jinglong and Wang Xueshan of the State Security Team of
the Chaoyang City Police Department are in charge of Jiang Wei's persecution. In
order to extort more money, they spread rumors about Jiang Wei, saying that she
tried to commit suicide by slitting her wrists. They also used excuses like
"medical expenses" to extort money from Jiang Wei's business partners.
According to practitioners' information, Jiang Wei never hurt herself during her

Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhong Zhendong Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhong Zhendong used to be a policeman in the Baiyun
District Police Sub-station in Guangzhou City. Because he refuses to give up his
belief in Falun Dafa, the local "610 Office" arrested him. Mr. Zhong's
whereabouts are unknown. 16. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhang Qiyong Is
Arrested Again While Dafa practitioner Zhang Qiyong was producing truth-clarifying materials
on May 3, 2004, someone reported him to the police. Over ten plain-clothed
policemen then arrested him. Mr. Zhang had been detained in a forced labor camp
for 2 years, from 1999 to 2001, for validating Falun Dafa. 17. [Chenxi County, Hunan Province] More Facts About The Persecution of Three
Dafa Practitioners In March 2004, three Dafa practitioners from Hunan Province were sent to the
Chenxi Detention Center. They are Ms. Yang Yuman, Mr. Ning Tieqiao, and Mr. Hu
Chougai. To protest the persecution, Ms.Yang has been on a hunger strike for 52
days. Her relatives went to the detention center many times requesting Ms.
Yang's release, but the county police department did not even allow them to see
her. The County police department only said that they would look into the issue
of the illegal beating of Yang Yuman by the State Security Group. Ms. Yang Yuman is a 24-year-old, kind-hearted person. Ning Tieqiao is 35
years old, and is honest and candid. Hu Chougai is a very honest businessman in
his 30s. Someone reported them when they were distributing truth-clarifying
materials in Wanganping Town. Some persecutors from the Wanganping Town
government arrested them and beat them up. Later, policemen Yu Qingchang and Xie
Kaiji from the State Security Group and personnel from the local "610
Office" tortured the three practitioners severely for one to three hours.
They hung the practitioners up in the air with handcuffs, kicked them, and
twisted their limbs. The persecutors even put an iron clamp on Yang Yuman's lips
with a pair of handcuffs attached to it. The iron clamp and the handcuffs
weighed about 4 pounds, and all that weight was on Ms. Yang's lips. This torture
lasted for over 1 hour. After the brutal torture was exposed, Yang and Hu's family members submitted
a report to the County Police Department, the Political and Judiciary Committee,
the Prosecutor, and the People's Congress, asking for the release of the three
detained practitioners. The report has not resulted in any improvement: Yang
Yuman has been on a hunger strike for 52 days, and she has to go through the
torture of being force-fed with a tube forced into her stomach. Many Dafa practitioners have clarified the truth to the government officials
and personnel of the "610 Office," asking for the immediate release of
the three practitioners currently under illegal persecution. Yang Yuman's
sister, her aunt and uncle-in-law went to the detention center many times asking
for her release, but the county police department did not even allow them to see
Ms. Yang. Later on, the helpless relatives called the county police department
and the county government. The reply they received was, "The county police
department cannot reinstate Falun Gong, yet we can look into the issue of
beating people, which is a violation of the law." The city government
officials said that the relatives could initiate a lawsuit in the courts.
However, although the report exposing the criminal deeds had been sent to all
related government and judiciary offices by express mail, there was no reply
after a week. Yang Yuman's older sister lives out of town in a place far away
from Chenxi County, and she needs to go back to her home. Her husband and
father-in-law do not understand her (in helping her younger sister). After going
from office to office and being treated with indifference by all levels of
political and law officials, she had no choice but to return home helplessly.
Vice Secretary of the County Party Committee, Tang Xiaojun, Secretary of the
Political and Judiciary Committee, Li Weilin, and the Director of county
"610 Office," Yang Wenjun, all said the issue had nothing to do with
them. The Chief of the County Police Department, Song Dafeng, refused to release
the practitioners, saying that they had been sentenced to forced labor terms. Currently, everyone in the Chenxi County "610 Office" has been
assigned several practitioners to be "reformed." Those who fail to
"reform" their assigned practitioners will be fined 1,000 Yuan at the
end of the year. The county police department and the police stations under its
control hired almost 70 people and are paying them a monthly salary of 300 yuan
to form the "Security Group." The "Security Group" works at
night, from 8 PM to 6 AM. The major task of the "Security Group" is to
arrest Dafa practitioners. 18. [Hebei Province] Six Dafa Practitioners Are Arrested On April 30, 2004, six Dafa practitioners went to paint some truth-clarifying
words in the hills of Shanhaiguan City, so that tourists during the May 1st
holiday season could see the truth of Falun Dafa. The six practitioners are:
Chen Ying (from Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province), Gao Jihong (from Qinhuangdao
City, Hebei Province), Wei Danquan (from Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province), Wu
(from Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province), Ouyang (a Dafa practitioner from Inner
Mongolia, forced to leave home), and a male practitioner (name unknown). The six
practitioners were arrested by the police from a police station in Shanhaiguan
City. Around 6 PM on May 2, 2004, police from Shanhaiguan City broke into the home
of Dafa practitioner Bao Changjiang. They ransacked the practitioner's home and
took away a computer (belonging to Bao's daughter), a printer, tape recorder,
some Dafa books, and some other items. The persecutors also arrested Bao and
another Dafa practitioner. The two practitioners are now detained in the
Shanhaiguan Detention Center. On the night of May 4, the police made another
attempt to arrest Bao Changjiang's wife, Yu Guirong (also a Dafa practitioner).
Ms. Yu escaped with righteous thoughts. Currently, Bao's teenage daughter is
