By a Dafa Practitioner in Dandong City

(Clearwisdom.net) Recently, the Liaoning Province, Dandong City "610 Office" (1) coordinated with the City Education Bureau and other government organizations to campaign among all the city elementary school students to "expose and criticize" Falun Gong. At Fuchun Elementary School, they forced every student to report on any other students, teachers, or parents who may practice or have any relationships with Falun Gong practitioners. The intense pressure was terrifying.

On the morning of May 9, 2004, Dafa practitioner Zhao Honge, a teacher at Fuchun Elementary School, clarified the truth about Falun Gong to several students. One of the students told what he heard to his father, a police officer, and the police officer reported the incident to higher authorities. At 10:00 a.m., the Dandong City "610 Office" and police from the Fuchun Police Station surrounded Zhao Honge's home and Fuchun Elementary School. Zhao Honge managed to escape, but is now forced to live away from home to avoid being arrested.

Afterwards, some students were called to the City Education Bureau for further questioning. Then on May 12, a campaign against Falun Gong was rolled out to all elementary school students in the city. Students said they were told by their teachers not to participate in any activities that may be related to Falun Gong, and they should also try to persuade their parents to stop practicing Falun Gong. Students were also told that they should report their own parents who practice Falun Gong to the teachers, and the teachers will report such parents to higher authorities. Students were also forced to report other students and other students' parents who may practice Falun Gong.

At Fuchun Elementary School, the "610 Office" pressured, threatened, and induced the students to report on each other. The school stopped normal classes, and forced every student to "pass the test" by "reporting on others," meaning to report any other students, teachers, or parents who may have any relationship with Falun Gong. So far there have been at least 30 parents called into the school for questioning. The authorities also threatened to search the homes of all the students who are in Zhao Honge's class.
