(Clearwisdom.net) 1. [Heilongjiang Province] Zhang Zhaohua Is Locked up in a Small Cell in
Beian Jail Zhang Zhaohua is a former section level cadre in the Security Section of the
Yitulihe Office, Hailaer Railway Sub-bureau, Inner Mongolia. Zhang Zhaohua was
sentenced to 7 years in prison and tortured, just for writing to the national
leaders describing the persecution he has experienced. Currently Zhang is tied
up and locked in a small cell in Beian Jail, and is reported to be in a critical
situation. A human rights organization outside China called the Beian Jail to
investigate the matter. Three different people answered the three successive
phone calls, and each person immediately hung up the phone as soon as they heard

Jilin Jail Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sun Qian is detained at the Jilin Jail. He has
been on a hunger strike for 4 months to resist the persecution. However, the
police tortured him by ordering criminal inmates to force-feed Mr. Sun with a
thick salt solution that contained 500 grams of salt, and then not allow him to
drink water. 3. [Jilin Province] Five Dafa Practitioners Abducted by Songyuan City
Ningjiang District No. 2 Public Security Sub-bureau After 8:00 p.m. on April 17, 2004, Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Hongyao went to
the wrong door when he returned home. He mistakenly knocked on a door on the 6th
floor. The neighbor reported him to the Yanjiang Local Police Station and
Ningjiang District No. 2 Public Security Sub-bureau. The police illegally
searched his home on the 5th floor, and then arrested his wife Wang
Yujie and practitioner Ms. Duan Liane, who were in the apartment at the time.
The police also waited outside to catch other practitioners. They arrested a
male practitioner who went to visit, then after 4:00 p.m. the police also
arrested Jiang Qi, another practitioner who went to visit the male practitioner.
These five practitioners were detained at the Songyuan City Shanyou Detention
Center until April 29, and each was sentenced to 3 years in prison. Mr. Liu Hongyao, Mr. Jiang Qi, and the other male practitioner were sent to
the Jilin Province Jiutai Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp, together with practitioner
Wang Xiaoxin, who was a teacher in Maoduzhan High School in Guo County. Wang
Yujie, Duan Liane, and another female practitioner were sent to Changchun
Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. One male practitioner had high blood pressure and
was sent to an aid station for a month of observation. To resist the
persecution, Jiang Qi had refused to take any food or water after his arrest on
April 17, so the forced labor camp refused to accept him. On April 30, he was
again sent to the hospital in Jilin Province Forced Labor Camp for further
persecution. He was critically ill, but he kept clarifying the facts of Falun
Gong and the persecution to the doctors, and was refused admittance for a second
time. After 6:00 p.m. on April 30, the police of Ningjiang District No. 2 Public
Security Sub-bureau unconditionally released him, as they didn't know what else
to do. One of the female practitioners was released because both of her hands
were disabled. Wang Xiaoxin was sentenced to a three year term in a forced labor
camp. 4. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Li Yong Is Again Subjected to Forced
Labor Mr. Li Yong is a Dafa practitioner from Jincheng, Linghai City, Liaoning
Province. When he was practicing the exercises at a practice site during the
2002 Chinese New Year, he was arrested by the public security section of
Jincheng Paper Making Corporation, and detained in Jinzhou City Forced Labor
Camp. He was released in mid-January 2004, but suddenly disappeared on April 2.
Later Li Yong's family learned two that plainclothes police from the Jincheng
Public Security Sub-bureau deceived Li Yong into going to Donghua Village, which
is near Jincheng. Then the police requested a police car and took Li Yong to
Linghai City Detention Center. He was later sentenced to three years at the
Jinzhou City Forced Labor Camp, and is not allowed visits from his family. During 4-plus years of persecution of Falun Gong, the Public Security Section
and Jincheng Public Security Sub-bureau, led by police officer Wang Jingshan,
have been recognized as an "Advanced Unit" for their participation in
the persecution. The successfully sent 15 practitioners to forced labor camp,
and detained many people. The police there torment practitioners by abusing,
beating and kicking, face-slapping, administering shocks with electric batons,
tying up with ropes, searching their homes, confiscating money and property, and
fining them large sums of money (mostly without a receipt, and some receipts are
improperly prepared). Police officers in Jincheng District that were primary participants in the
persecution: 5. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Police Arrest Five Practitioners in
Fuqiang Village On the afternoon of April 27, 2004, Jiaohe City Fuqiang Village Dafa
practitioners Around 4:00 p.m. on the 28th, police officers from Dunhua City
Huangnihe and Jiaohe City Baishishan Town rushed into the home of the three
practitioners who had escaped. The police searched their home and arrested the
practitioners at 6:00 p.m. It was reported that these five practitioners are now
detained at the Dunhua City Detention Center, and are suffering brutal torture.
The police said these five practitioners will likely be sentenced to a minimum

Security Bureau: 6. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Persecution by Xinnong Township Police On January 18, 2001, Luan Jibo, Nongan County Xinnong Township Local Police
Station manager, along with Li He, arrested Dafa practitioners Chen Guanghong,
Wang Yong, Liu Shudong, Bian Chunxiang, Wang Yingjie, Wang Fengjie, and Wang
Fenglan. They were detained at the Nongan County Detention Center for 8 days,
and all the money and valuables they had, totaling 7,000 yuan (1), was
confiscated. Luan Jibo and Li He are known to wantonly curse Dafa, slander Dafa,
and torture Dafa practitioners. In July 2001, officers Li He, Wang Jun, Liu Wenxin, and Tang, of the Jishi
Xinnong Township Local Police Station, suddenly rushed into practitioner Wang
Yong's home, located at Huangjia Station, Siping Street, Xinnong Township, and
took Wang Yong to the station. Under the instigation of Song Zequan, former
manager Luan Jibo roughed up Wang Yong, causing him to pass out several times.
Wang Yong's body was covered with bruises. Finally a few people lifted him into
a car and sent him to the Nongan County Detention Center, and he was later
sentenced to one year of forced labor. He has since suffered more physical and
mental persecution in the forced labor camp. 7. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Police Officers Try to Force Zhang
Fengzhen to Write a Guarantee Statement (2) On April 23, 2004, Zhang Lianduo and about eight other policemen from the
Shijiazhuang Hedong Local Police Station rushed into Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang
Fengzhen's home, and tried to force the 58-year-old to write a statement
guaranteeing not to practice Falun Gong. When she refused to write it, the
police took her fingerprints. Intending to send her to a forced labor camp, they
first took her for a health check-up. When the doctor found she had heart
disease, the police extorted 10,000 Yuan from her family, and sent her home

Practitioners Tian Ruhong and Luo Siyin of the No. 1 Section in Lushan District Public
Security Bureau, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province have been following orders from
the Jiang regime since July 20, 1999, when the persecution began, and
fanatically persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Many practitioners have been
forced into brainwashing centers where they are persecuted. Tian and Luo have
caused the deaths of practitioners Gui Xunhua (Xiaochi Town, Huangmei County)
and Lan Hu (Lushan District Price Bureau). Practitioners who have been sentenced
to prison include: Zhang Jing (11 years), Zhang Shu (8 years), Shen Chong (8
years), Luo Youmin (8 years), Cao Juncheng (8 years), Xu Feng (8 years), Huang
Jihan (3 years), Li Kanlin (3 years), Chen Shiwu (3 years of forced labor), Hu
Yali (3 years of forced labor), Shi Shuqin (3 years of forced labor), Hu Dingyin
(3 years of forced labor), Hu Dingxi couple (2 years of forced labor), Zhu
Shengli (2 years of forced labor), and Cai Maobao (2 years of forced labor). On March 27, 2004, Dafa practitioners Li Guirong, Hu Yanhua, Wang Shan, Yang
Guihua, and others were arrested, and secretly detained at the Jiujiang City
Yongxiu County Detention Center. 9. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Tang Yu Is Sentenced to one Year of Forced
Labor Handan City Fuxing District practitioner Ms. Tang Yu is 38 years old. She
began to practice Falun Gong in 1997. On January 29, 2004, the police arrested
her, searched her home, and extorted her family of at least 6,000 Yuan in
exchange for her release. However, not only was she not released, but she was
sentenced to one year of forced labor, and sent to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor
Camp. 10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Police From No. 3 Brigade in
Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp Deceive the United Nations In mid-March 2002, police officers from the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp
No. 3 Brigade forced the practitioners who denounced Falun Gong against their
wills to write to the Secretary-general of the United Nations. The police set a
limit of 3 days to finish the letters in which the writers had to slander Falun
Gong, acknowledge that they have been "transformed" by the government
and police, and express that America interferes in China's internal affairs and
violates human rights by criticizing the Chinese government's human rights
violations, etc. 24-year-old practitioner Ms. Xu Haili of Jingxing County was forcibly
brainwashed. The police deprived her of sleep for 26 days, and instructed others
to take turns brainwashing her 24 hours a day. Xu Haili was tortured until her
entire body became swollen, and she was practically disabled. However, she still
would not give up her beliefs. The police feared being held responsible for her
death, and only then stopped tormenting her. Her case is a prime example of
"education and transformation" that the Chinese government brags
about, and belies the self-proclaimed "best period of human rights on
record." Moreover, the brutal persecution still continues. (1) Yuan - Chinese currency. 500 yuan is the average monthly income
for an urban worker in China. (2) "Guarantee Statement" - A
statement to declare that one is remorseful for practicing Falun Gong and
guarantees not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for
Falun Gong, and never again associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners.
