(Clearwisdom.net) On May 23, Falun Gong practitioners participated in the annual Singapore Grand Walk organized by Singapore's second largest newspaper, New Paper. This event is a mass sports activity with a 14 year history, and is strongly supported by Singapore government. Practitioners also participated in this activity last year.

At 7:30 a.m., the host announced the kick-off of the "Fun Walk." Among the crowded procession was a group of Falun Gong practitioners in yellow T-shirts hoisting giant banners. The host recognized the practitioners' procession from afar and greeted them with, "Welcome Falun Gong!" in English and "Falun Gong, How are you doing?" in Chinese. "Very well, thank you!" Practitioners replied. Then came warm applause from the audience. Practitioners and the host waved hands to greet each other.

Like last year, practitioners displayed "Falun Dafa is Good," "The World Needs Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," "Falun Gong Benefits 100 Million People" and "Falun Gong Walks with You" giant banners. The four banners fluttered in the wind and were very eye-catching in the morning sunshine. During the walk, exclamations such as "It is Falun Gong" and "Falun Gong is Good" were often heard from the spectators. Now and then, someone would read the "Falun Gong is Good" banner loudly, and warm applause then followed. Many practitioners burst into tears with the true joy from the hearts.

During the past 5 years, with great compassion, Singapore practitioners have shared their personal experiences of Falun Gong with council members, police, neighbors, colleagues, and friends. Practitioners have also clarified the truth of the Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong to them. Practitioners have demonstrated the beauty of Falun Dafa to Singapore's people with their compassion and wisdom. From hatred to respect, from fear to trust, more and more civilians have learned the truth of Falun Gong.

By the end of this 5.6-km walk, the majority of those in the procession were exhausted from walking under the baking sun. However, spectators were surprised to see that the Falun Gong group, with participants ranging from infants to a 73-year old grandmother, was still in good order with their banners hoisted high.
