Boston, USA: Wang Taihua, Secretary for the Anhui Provincial Party Committee Served With Lawsuit at Moakley Federal Courthouse

(Clearwisdom.net) Minghui correspondent Yue Ran reports from Boston: Bo Xilai, the Chinese Minister of Commerce who was visiting Washington, D.C. was served with a lawsuit during the afternoon of April 22, 2004 in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia by Falun Gong practitioners on charges of "torture, genocide and crimes against humanity." More recently, Wang Taihua, Anhui Provincial Party Committee Secretary was served with a class-action lawsuit on the morning of May 24, on the same charges as Bo Xilai: "torture, genocide and crimes against humanity."

According to a report from the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong published on May 19 entitled, "Investigative Report on Anhui Provincial Party Secretary Wang Taihua's Participation in the Persecution of Falun Gong," Wang Taihua took office as the governor of Anhui Province and served from February 1999 to January 2000. Since January 2000 he has been the secretary for the Anhui Provincial Party Committee. He is responsible for the torture and murder of Falun Gong practitioners in Anhui Province over the past five years. At numerous Party conferences, NPC meetings and police conferences, Wang Taihua personally demanded that government officials cooperate with the persecution. He also accompanied Luo Gan to inspect prisons and police stations in Hefei and Chaohu. He held meetings with city and county officials to discuss the persecution of Falun Gong. Additionally, he brainwashed the attendees with Falun Gong-slandering videos and pictures during these meetings and planned schemes for the persecution.

According to a Minghui report, as of May 19, 2004, it was confirmed that 14 Falun Gong practitioners in Anhui Province have been tortured to death. They are Rui Xiaolin, a 39-year-old resident of Anqing City; Liu Jie, a 35-year-old resident of Fuyang City; Li Jun, a 30-year-old resident of Hefei City; Li Mei, a 28-year-old resident of Hefei City; Li Jun [Jun is different with the last Jun in Chinese], a 33-year-old resident of Hefei City; Zhang Duoyun, a 73-year-old resident of Hefei City; Zhang Guiqin, a 37-year-old resident of Hefei City; Zhu Zongxia, a 51-year-old resident of Hefei City; Wu Qingbin, a 37-year-old resident of Huainan City; Xie Guiying, a 30-year-old resident of Huainan City; Mei Kanzhu, a 55-year-old resident of Huoshan County; Sun Xiumei, a 24-year-old resident of Linquan County; Zhu Zhiyong, a 26-year-old resident of Liuan City and a 48-year-old Dafa practitioner from Xuancheng.

Among the 70-odd county and cities in Anhui Province, the persecution is most severe in Hefei City, Tonglin City, Huainan City, Liuan City, Fuyang City, Ningguo City, Lixin County and Linquan County. Under orders from Wang Taihua, perpetrators from the "610 Office" at all levels ransacked Dafa practitioners' homes, threatened, abducted, detained, brainwashed, tortured, and extorted money from Falun Gong practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Xiaohua, an associate professor from the Anhui Construction Engineering College was detained in the Anhui Mental Hospital. She was subjected to brainwashing, beaten, verbally abused, handcuffed, force-fed with both food and psychiatric drugs, detained in solitary confinement and tied in a bed to undergo electro shock therapy. The perpetrators also stuffed dirty tampons and towels used to clean the restroom into her mouth. After the forced injection, drugs, and electric shocks in the mental hospital, the suffering Wu Xiaohua experienced was beyond description. She slept excessively, she could not sit, stand or lay still, often experiencing dizziness and loss of memory. Furthermore, she suffered from blurred vision to the point that she could not see people and things, even close up. Her hearing also declined significantly. She was very weak, sometimes she lost consciousness three or four times a day.

Many scholar-practitioners from the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei City, Anhui Province were sentenced to prison or forced labor, including Li Chuanfeng, a post-doctoral student who had won an award from the China Academy of Sciences for his contributions in the field of quantum mechanics. Zhao Gang is a Ph.D. student from the geophysics department. He is a graduate of a gifted program at the university and an accomplished scholar who has many articles published in international journals. Li Guofeng holds a Master's degree in physics-chemistry. He has been a lecturer at Anhui University since 2001, and has also published articles in international journals. Xue Tingxiao is a Ph.D. student of physics-chemistry with articles published in international journals.

Wang Taihua was the governor of Anhui Province and Secretary of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee during the past five years. He is therefore the one responsible for the torture and murder of Falun Gong practitioners that took place during this period.

In addition to Bo Xilai and Wang Taihua, Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese president, Luo Gan, Politburo Standing Committee member of the CCP Central Committee, Zhou Yongkang, Minister of Public Security, Li Lanqing, head of the "610 Office" and Liu Qi, mayor of Beijing, are among the many Chinese officials who were served with lawsuits in several countries around the world for their persecution of Falun Gong.
