Practitioner Ms. Qin Qingfang's Once Harmonious Family Is Devastated By the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) In December 2000, Ms. Qin Qingfang from Fushun City was arrested, because of her practice of Falun Dafa and her belief in the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." Upon her arrest, her husband suffered a stroke, which rendered her unable to speak or move. She also had an elderly father and an eight-year-old grandson living at home who were left without anyone to take care of them. Qin Qingfang was sentenced to three years in a labor camp.

After the Spring Festival of 2003, her aging blind father could no longer endure the stress from his daughter being arrested. He passed away longing to see her again. Her husband developed vasculitis and had his right leg amputated. Her previously harmonious family life was devastated by all these events. Her husband was 63 years old and now unemployed. Qin Qingfang was expelled from her job and the community organization that makes sure the ruling Party's edicts are carried out locally would not approve any living benefits for her because she would not renouce her belief. She and her family had to endure very harsh circumstances as a result.

Qin Qingfang suffered cruel persecution while in the labor camp. She was handcuffed and had ice-cold water poured over her, she was shocked with electric batons, deprived of sleep and taken to a dark room where she would not be able to identify the group of people who started beating her severely.

After Qin Qingfang was finally released, her home phone was monitored and she was followed day and night when she left her home. The persecution that she suffered is only one example of what millions of Falun Dafa practitioners endure regularly for insisting on their right to freedom to believe in the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance."
