Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Appeal to Visiting Wen Jiabao (Photos)

On May 2nd, German Dafa practitioners handed over both German and Chinese translations of an open letter to the Chinese Embassy in Germany, and asked them to pass on it to Wen Jiabao who is visiting there. A German desk clerk received this letter. In the meantime, the letter was read aloud at the appeal activities held in the afternoon.

Below is the open letter to Premier Wen Jiabao

Dear Respectful Mr Wen Jiabao:

Falun Gong, a cultivation method first introduced to the public in 1992, provides close links between German Falun Gong practitioners and the Chinese people. Falun Gong has been blossoming in many countries and was also introduced to our country. For many years, this practice has brought inner and external peace to many of us. We treasure it as a precious gift, a gift that develops widely and strongly in a free, democratic and stable society.

During your visit, we would like to present you with a gift from the Chinese people. This is what a German policeman said: "The demonstration by Falun Gong is like a peaceful island in a chaotic world."

If you are willing, we will show you these peaceful and solemn islands during the few days you will be staying as a guest of the German State. We will meditate in public in Munich and Berlin, and express the wish from the bottom of our hearts to the media and the general public for an end the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

We would like to take this opportunity to deliver a message to you: here in Germany it is a common thing for people with different opinions and different beliefs to respect each other.

We will also exhibit the following banners to you:

·Falun Dafa is Great

·Bring Jiang to Justice

·End the Persecution of Falun Gong in China

Last November, over forty Falun Gong practitioners sued the prime culprits of the persecution against Falun Gong in German courts for their crimes against humanity and genocide. At present a case is being considered by the German Federal prosecutor and relevant departments.

As long as the people involved in the case still hold power in China and try to stop the case, we think we have a duty to re-establish common rules and justice using the principle of freedom in other countries.

We deliver this gift to you with our upright and kind hearts, and wish you and the Chinese people a bright future. We hope you will receive this gift and carry it back to China.
