A Recollection of the Righteous Actions of Detained Practitioner Ms. Cao Fengqiu

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a practitioner from Huludao City. In mid-June of 2000, I was arrested together with two other practitioners and sent to the Qitun Detention Center where we were put in Prison Room #2. It was a small room, filled already with 19 practitioners, and with the addition of three more of us it became even more crowded. (Later on, they detained over thirty people in that room, leaving not enough room to even sleep.)

We would wake at midnight to practice the exercises. Cao Fengqiu sat in front of me. She is from Dafutun Village of Guangtun Town. Our energy field was peaceful and we did not have the notion of being in a dangerous situation even though at any time we could be beaten by the prison guards.

However, an abrupt knock on the door broke the serenity. Someone was knocking on all the doors where practitioners were detained. Our door was opened and a prison guard with the surname of Yuan burst into the room with a thick baton in his hand, and started to beat us. It was mid-summer and we were only wearing a thin layer of clothes. One practitioner by the surname of Liu who sat in front of me only wore a vest. Yuan forcefully struck her on the back with the baton and instantly welts appeared on her back. He repeatedly struck her seven times on the same spot and as a result her back turned black and blue. Even under this kind of treatment, the practitioners still sat in peace and continued the exercises. Finally the police handcuffed us.

The vicious thug struck Cao Fengqiu five times. Although beaten up, we still remained unmoved and continued the exercises. He was furious and targeted another practitioner who sat on the side. He grabbed her hair and dragged her forcefully to the ground. She was unable to move. He then dragged Cao Fengqiu in the same way. While he was trying to get another three practitioners, Cao Fengqiu managed to sit up. He was shocked by this and came back to drag her to the ground again. However Cao Fengqiu once again sat up. This was repeated for four or five times. Finally when he forced her down to the ground, he stepped on her head before she could do anything so that she was unable to move. After one or two minutes, he raised his foot, thinking she must have been defeated. However, he turned back and found that Cao Fengqiu had once again sat up. He then once again forced her down to the ground and stepped on her. The director of the detention center and another prison guard witnessed all this. Finally, the three of them left and we resumed our practice.
