Liaoning Province's Education System is implementing the following persecution policies against Falun Dafa practitioners

1. For example, at the Chinese Medical University: on the "2004 Post-Graduate Students' Secondary Examination - Political Qualification Inspection Form" there is a question regarding the opinion of a postgraduate student's work unit after inspecting the student's personal opinion by requiring an answer to the question, "what is the student's overall political qualification, including his/her understanding and attitude on the issue of Falun Gong?"
2. One of the requirements put forth in the University's mission to have a "safe, civilized stable campus," includes the political campaign of forcing of Falun Dafa practitioners to renounce their belief as one of the official evaluation guidelines.

It's now known Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Shengbiao has become disabled in his right leg as a result of being subjected to torture in Shijiazhuang City's Forced Labor Camp.

According to a March 19, 2004, report, practitioner Wang Shengbiao who had been secretly arrested at the beginning of August 2003 was covertly sentenced to three years of forced labor by the end of January 2004. He is currently held at the No. 2 Division, Shijiazhuang City's Forced Labor Camp, where he has been subjected to cruel torture. Right now, Wang Shengbiao's right leg has lost all sensation and he can't walk. He is extremely weak, but the police still do not permit his family members to visit him. From the first day Wang Shengbiao was put into this camp, he was deprived of sleep and was forbidden to close his eyes for five days. Whenever he closed them, his captors beat him! As he continued to refuse to renounce his belief in Falun Dafa, the police forced him into half-squatting position, with his legs forming a 45 degree-angle for over 20 hours at a time. Seeing that he still refused to sign his name on the so-called "Four Statements (1)," the team leader ordered criminal inmates to cruelly beat him.

It's already known that seven Dafa practitioners' houses have been ransacked already, including those of Sun Wenheng, Ma Shuqing, Dai Yuchi, Ma Zhixin and Li Jincang's. Three practitioners were forced to leave home and live in exile to avoid further persecution by the police. Ma Shuqing and Li Jincang, Li Jincang's wife Ms. Zhang Junrong and daughter Ms. Li Bing were also arrested. Policeman Gong Jingwen, chief of the Political & Judiciary Section and his men arrested most of these practitioners. There are over a dozen policemen in each police team. These policemen do not show their I.D and they wear plain clothes to disguise their identity. They ransacked the homes of practitioners once they gained entry and climb over the wall if there is nobody at home. Sometimes they broke the locks and even broke into these homes in the middle of the night when the surrounding neighbors were least likely to see their actions.

Still Holds 171 Practitioners

On March 25, 2004, my co-worker and I went to Zhengzhou City's Shibalihe Female Labor Camp and eye-witnessed the viciousness of the police in the camp.

A policewoman in her 30s, police ID number 4143075, body searched every practitioner's family member who was coming to visit detain practitioners in an abusive manner. She even didn't let a baby go untouched. After the body search, she ordered the visitors to sign a statement defaming Dafa and its founder. Anyone who refused to sign the statement would not be permitted to visit their family member. According to a reliable source, the Shibalihe Female Labor Camp still illegally holds 171 practitioners. The labor camp authorities force practitioners to work overtime, making wigs in order to make a huge profits for the labor camp directors.

During the night of April 11, 2004, a resident from Xiniu Village reported practitioners Ms. He Shurong from Cuijia'an Village, Lingshan Town, Jimo City, Shandong Province and a new practitioner, Ms.Yu Cuiting from Dongshanpo Village, while they were clarifying the truth to him/her in Xiniu Village/Huashan Town, Jimo City. Afterwards, this villager and others grabbed them and that same night sent them to Huashan Town's Police Precinct hoping to receive a reward for their efforts.

The next day, personnel from Huashan Town's Police Precinct and Lingshan Town's Police Precinct as well as the city's "610 Office" searched the two practitioners' homes. Since nobody was at He Shurong's home, police didn't carry out their search. We have heard that the practitioners were sent to Qingdao City's Dashan Female Detention Center the day after their arrest.

In February 2004, Hu Yaoqing and Zhou Zhifa, two accomplices of Hanchuan City's Xinhe Police Precinct found Dafa truth clarification signs along the road during their night patrol. Then they drove a car searching along the road. They caught practitioner Mr. Ding Jimei who was riding a bike and falsely claimed they had seen Ding and another practitioner, Guo Zhengpei, putting up these signs. The police threatened to arrest Guo Zhengpei. Ding was held in the Second Detention Center for fifteen days and then transferred to the First Detention Center. The next day, the Xinhe Police Precinct chief led a gang of police during the daytime and arrested Guo Zhengpei at work. The security guards from the Hanchuan branch of Fujian Dali Foodstuffs Factory assisted in the arrest. The Xinhe Police Precinct has reported the two practitioners to a higher-up police department, and had attempted to send them to a forced labor camp. Now a one-year forced labor sentence has been issued without a trial, but the labor camp refused to take them because they did not pass the physical exam.

For reporting these practitioners, several people received awards of 2,000 Yuan (3). One of them, Zhou Zhifa, received 1,000 Yuan. The other five people received 200 Yuan each. Because the "loot" was divided unevenly, they quarreled with each other. So, Yu Xianzhou is against releasing the two practitioners.

In March 2004, officers from Makou Town's Police Precinct arrested practitioner Zou Wenxiang living in the Stone Road of Makou Town, Hanchuan City. At 8:00 a.m. on the morning of March 1, 2004, Lu Jianqiao, a security guard from the 3509 Factory, along with Zhang, the Makou Police Precinct chief in Makou Town, Hanchuan City, broke into Zou's rented dormitory in the 3509 Factory and forcibly handcuffed him without showing any legal document. Facing the police's violence and their stepping on Dafa books, Zou Wenxiang stated, "You are committing a crime!" Police arrested Zou and have held him in the city's Second Detention Center unti now.

That same morning, violators from the Makou Police Precinct broke into the homes of three practitioners from the 3509 Factory and have confiscated dozens of Dafa books and other Dafa materials. The following are details about this particular practitioner:

Practitioner Mr. Zou Wenxiang was a Huangshi City factory employee. He went to Beijing to validate Falun Dafa in 2000, and to explain the facts of the persecution to the public. Police from Huangshi City brutally tied his hands with #8 thin metal wire which cut into his flesh. There are still two scars on his wrists. The police collaborated with the factory leaders to revoke Mr. Zou's employment contract depriving him of his right to work.

Zou Wenxiang then went back to his hometown, Makou Town, and made a living driving a tricycle taxi. During this period he was arrested twice. Once he was sent to Hubei Province's Shayang Forced Labor Camp for one year; the other time he was unlawfully held and persecuted in Hanchuan City's First Detention Center. Personnel from the "610 Office" and the Political and Security Section extorted thousands of yuan from his family. He was nearly tortured to death. After his release, Zou Wenxiang soon regained his health after studying the Falun Dafa principles and practicing the exercises, which demonstrated Dafa's effectiveness in providing good health to those who practice. Zou Wenxiang was arrested again and has been unlawfully held till now.

At 1:00 a.m. on April 5, 2004, officers from Ruichang City's Pencheng Police Precinct arrested practitioner Mr. Liu Zunbao from Mumaliujia, Luoguling Village, Yongquan Township, Jiangxi Province while he was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Liu did not cooperate with the police after his arrest but instead explained the facts of the persecution to them . On April 6, his younger brother went to visit him and said the police put Liu Zhun in shackles and sent him to the Bamaoshan Forced Labor Camp.

Practitioner Mr. Li Yilong, who was arrested the next day was able to get free using his righteous thoughts and is now living in exile to avoid further persecution.

1. On March 31, 2004, a Dafa truth-clarifying materials production site in Yanji City, Jilin Province was destroyed. A witness said the police dispatched officers in 12 cars to destroy the site. Two practitioners with laptop computers jumped from the fourth floor of the building. Mr. Jin Minghao walked away because of the power of his righteous thoughts, but practitioner Ms. Zheng Yinyue became badly injured. Security officers from Yanji City's Police Department arrested her and sent her to a hospital. She is currently recovering at home. The police are electronically monitoring her home. The laptop computer and another data device are now in the hands of the police department.

2. At 8:00 p.m. on April 4, 2004, three officers from the Henan Province's Jiangong Police Precinct arrested Ms. Wang Huilian who was working at the Huamei Hairdresser's Barbershop on Gongyuan Street, Yanji City. The police ransacked Wang's home and kept her in a detention center.

3. Dafa practitioners in the Yanbian area have published and publicly distributed the eighth edition of "Lianxin," a Dafa truth-clarifying newsletter. The local "610 Office" authorities whose crimes have been exposed in the newsletter have become extremely frightened. They made all attempts to find the source of the publication. Officers from Yanji City's Police Department made additional copies of seven practitioners' photos and planned to take action against them.

During the morning of April 13, 2004, practitioner Ms. Gao Mingxia, a woman in her 40s, and her husband from the Licang District in Qingdao City were arrested at home by local "610 Office" personnel. Their home was ransacked and their whereabouts are currently unknown. Their teenage daughter and nearly 70 year old mother were left at home without care.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Jiatao, 40 years old, is an employee at the Jiangbei Mechanical Factory in Shuitu Town, Beipei District, Chongqing. On April 7, 2004, when she went to the Liuyin post office to post truth-clarifying materials, she was reported and then was arrested at the post office. The same afternoon her house was searched. She is currently being held at the Beipei Detention Center.

On April 15, 2004, law-violating officers from Shijiazhuang City's Dongyuan Police Precinct broke into Dafa practitioner Kang Hongxia's home and forcibly took her away. They even took away her young daughter who is only four or five years old. Two elderly Dafa practitioners who were visiting Kang Hongxia were also arrested at the same time. Kang Hongxia has been sent to an undisclosed detention center in Shijiazhuang City. The exact detention center location is under investigation.

On March 6, 2004 when Dafa practitioner Ms. Shan Yuzi, an employee of the Fangzheng Woods Bureau in Heilongjiang Province, distributed Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in the middle of the night, something happened. Policeman Shang Longfei who was a member of so-called "special case group"[a group specifically established to persecute Falun Gong practitioners] arrested her. Shang Longfei, Zhang Xueshan and Gao Fei have interrogated her under torture many times. She is currently in poor condition and covered with bruises.

On April 9, 2004 when Dafa practitioners Deng Chaobo and Fan Zhiming were posting Dafa truth-clarifying information at the Gaoleng Post Office, policemen Shang Longfei, Zhang Xueshan and Li Tingqi arrested them. These lawless policemen pushed the two Dafa practitioners to the ground and then savagely beat and kicked them. A witness said, "They beat the Falun Gong practitioners so relentlessly that their faces were swollen. The policemen are really inhumane."

During the night of April 15, 2004, when Dafa practitioner Liang Fulian and Zhang Qifang were distributing materials that exposed the crimes of vicious policeman Shang Longfei, "610 Office" officials from the Fangzheng Woods Bureau arrested them.

The five practitioners mentioned above are currently being held at a detention center affiliated with the Fangzheng Woods Area Police Department.

On April 9, 2004, personnel from the Jinchuan Company's Public Security Section including Dai Baoji, Zhang Shuwei and Dai Changjun, in collusion with officers from the Yongchang Police Precinct went to arrest Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhu Lanxiu. These officers threatened Zhu Lanxiu's husband to hand over Zhu Lanxiu; otherwise they would arrest him. They lied, saying that, "they just wanted to see Zhu Lanxiu and speak a few words with her." It was said that Zhu Lanxiu has been sent to Jinchang City's Drug Rehabilitation Center.
