Jilin Prison Transfers Falun Dafa Practitioners to Siping Prison in Order to Thwart International Investigation

(Clearwisdom.net) When the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) investigated Jilin Prison for the death of Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Chengjun, the prison quickly transferred more than ten Dafa practitioners to Siping Prison, including Zheng Weidong, Wang Jianmin, Wang Hongge, and Liu Changshan.

Currently, even though Siping Prison does not cruelly torture Dafa practitioners as does Jilin Prison, practitioners are still closely monitored. Every Dafa practitioner is accompanied by two criminal inmates who follow them everywhere. Family members who visit Dafa practitioners are also strictly monitored. They prohibit visitation by family members who practice Falun Gong. Dafa practitioners are also subjected to forced labor. Two of the three meals each day consist of only coarse steamed corn bread. It appears on the surface that the environment is relaxed, and that the prison makes an attempt to build a seemingly "relaxed and warm" prison life. But in fact, the prison's goal is still to persecute Falun Gong practitioners and cause them to ultimately give up their belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance."

This is not the end, but a continuation of the persecution. They separate practitioners in order to weaken the practitioners' collective power and distract the attention of the international community. By doing so, they intend to ease the pressure from the outside world on them and allow officials to avoid responsibility for their crimes.
