Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Continue their Appeal Outside the Adlon Hotel to Bring Jiang to Justice (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net)On the second day of Wen Jiabao's visit to Germany, German practitioners appealed outside the Adlon Hotel, where Wen Jiabao stayed, to bring Jiang Zemin to justice.

Jiang also stayed in this hotel during his visit to Germany in April two years ago. At that time Falun Gong practitioners held large scale protest activities in Berlin, they hung up banners reading 'Falun Dafa is good', ''Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance' and 'Stop persecuting Falun Gong', which were described as offensive words by Jiang and his followers when they misled the German police, who could not read Chinese. According to a German Federal Criminal Police official, Jiang Zemin claimed to be insulted and threatened to stop the state visit in order to force the German police to clear out all Falun Gong practitioners who were staying in the Adlon Hotel. In due course the German Falun Dafa Association and Falun Gong practitioners brought the German Federal government to court for the German Federal Police's violations of the practitioners' human rights.

This lawsuit was favorably resolved on April 26. The German Federal Criminal Bureau, which is in charge of security during visits by heads of state, officially admitted that its treatment of Falun Gong practitioners outside the Adlon Hotel during Jiang's visit to Germany was against the law. The German Falun Dafa Association welcomed this admission. The two parties finally reached a formal settlement proposed by Berlin's Administrative Court.

Falun Gong practitioners noted that in order to avoid being deceived again by the Chinese representatives, the German police had their own Chinese interpreters this time for Wen Jiabao's visit.
