Falun Gong Practitioners Appeal in Munich: "Welcome Wen Jiabao, Bring Jiang to Justice"
By Qingzhou, a Falun Gong Practitioner in Germany
(Clearwisdom.net) Governor Stoiber of Bavaria, Germany entertained
Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao in the Residenz in Munich on the evening of
May 2, 2004. Falun Gong practitioners from Germany and Austria took this
opportunity to appeal to Wen on Max-Joseph-Platz and unfolded banners saying,
"Welcome Wen Jiabao," "Bring Jiang to Justice" and "Falun Dafa is Great."
According to Falun Gong practitioners, the content of their banners was
restricted when they applied for this appeal. In some places, they were not
initially allowed to use the banner saying "Bring Jiang to Justice." Falun Gong
practitioners clarified the truth about Falun Gong to city governments and told
them Jiang was the chief perpetrator of the persecution of innocent Falun Gong
practitioners in China. After clarifying Falun Gong practitioners' intention and
reason for using this banner, their applications were approved and Jiang's
crimes were eventually exposed.
Falun Gong practitioners started their appeal in front of the Residenz and
Wen's hotel around noon. However, on Max-Joseph-Platz, where crowds of tourists
passed to get to the National Theatre and the Residenz, police restricted Falun
Gong practitioners to an area that people could not access. After Falun Gong
practitioners clarified the truth to them, the policemen removed rails so that
crowds of tourists could pass the Falun Gong booth, visit display boards, watch
Falun Gong exercise demos and sign their names in support of legal actions
against Jiang.
