Toronto: Falun Gong Plays an Active Role in the Community (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 5, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners took part in the annual celebration of the St. James Community in Central Toronto. Practitioners performed traditional Chinese dances including the Lion Dance, gave waist drum performances and were warmly received.

This early summer event, organized to let neighbors of different backgrounds to meet and share their cultural heritage, attracted many residents of the area.

The Canadian Falun Gong practitioners brought the rich Chinese traditional cultural performances to the community. One of the organizers said, "Falun Gong's performances are this year's special features. They bring us many dances and music. The costumes are elegant and the dances are graceful."

Another community leader said he met a Falun Dafa practitioner three years ago and since then, this person has devoted himself to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong. He has personally talked about the Falun Gong issue with his district's representative in Parliament, and he took some photos of the Falun Gong activities to put on his website.
