A Mother and Child are Both Held in the Linquan County Detention Center in Fuyang City, Anhui Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In the beginning of April 2004, the authorities from the "610 Office" (1) and the Public Security Bureau in Linquan County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province abducted Dafa practitioner, Ms. Ma Zunping, a nurse from the Linquan County Chinese Medicine Hospital, and took her to the Public Security Bureau while she was on duty. Later, they transferred her to the Linquan County Detention Center and illegally held her there.

Ms. Ma said to the officials: "You've illegally held me at the detention center. No one is taking care of my child, and he is only in the fourth grade. Do you have any humanity?" Zhang Lianhai, the official from the County "610 Office," Liu Gang, the deputy chief of the County Public Security Bureau and Wang Yumin, the head of the Politics and Security Department, refused to release Ms. Ma. They decided instead to jail her young child in the detention center, thus depriving him of his education.

(1) "610 Office": an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
