(Clearwisdom.net) In early May 2004, New York State Assembly Member Roger Green wrote a congratulatory letter to Falun Dafa practitioners of Brooklyn on the occasion of World Falun Dafa Day.

Assemblyman Green wrote in the letter: "Falun Dafa also known as Falun Gong has gained the recognition and gratitude of people around the world because it has brought stability and moral character to those whose lives it has touched. Many New Yorkers have benefited from this practice since it was introduced here in 1996. The inner peace and physical strength gained from the practice has elevated and purified the heart, mind and body of those engaged in the practice. Because the practice stresses self-improvement through the study of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance it has touched the very fiber of the minds and hearts of millions of people in over 60 countries."

"Thanks to the teachings of Falun Dafa many New Yorkers have found happiness, wisdom & clarity in their lives. Therefore, it is with great pride that I congratulate the practitioners of Falun Dafa on their celebration of World Falun Dafa Day May 13^th, 2004."
