Dafa Practitioner Ms. Tong Li Is Disabled and Requires Medical Treatment As a Result of Torture at the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Tong Li, a Dafa practitioner from Jiamusi City in
Heilongjiang Province, has been unlawfully detained several times for firmly
continuing to practice Falun Dafa. She is presently detained in the Jiamusi
Forced Labor Camp. Due to the serious torture she has suffered, one of her legs
has become disabled from being shackled for extended periods, and since the
Chinese New Year, Ms. Tong has been unable to walk. She is not capable of taking
care of herself without assistance, but the labor camp refuses to release her.
Furthermore, they have blocked the news of her disability in order to evade
responsibility in the matter. Recently, the Jiamusi City "610 Office"
(1) unexpectedly sent people to her former workplace, the Jiamusi Hualian
Shopping Center, and asked for money from the managers. They claimed that Tong
Li required medical treatment for her legs. It is unknown how the managers
responded. Apparently Tong Li's physical condition is very serious, otherwise,
the "610 Office" wouldn't have come forward to collect money for her
medical care on their own. The Hualian Shopping Center management had dismissed
Tong Li because she admitted she practiced Falun Gong and would not renounce her
belief. Ms. Tong does not have any financial resources. Her husband has divorced
her, as he feared being implicated through "guilt by association." Ms.
Tong's elderly parents are in the countryside, and Tong Li herself does not have
anyone to rely on. Jiang Zuoqi, Labor Camp Director: 86-454-8891958 (Work), 86-454-8247690
